What a beautiful town, they treat their town like a paradise, just like others. Look at the flowers all over. They are homogeneous and they like it that way. Nature provides the rest with scenic views of the greenery mountains. I wish you stayed longer with the folk dancers and music, I enjoyed that very much. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed also this new walk dear Esther, and... very happy the follklore dances and music was appreciated as well! It was indeed a "new" way of filming. I hope to insert as many of those as possible in future videos, if I can. They surely add a more alive reality to the video. Loved the town very much myself I have to say. Love Abruzzo a lot
Glad you enjoyed it Salamander, Caramanico is a stunning, stunning, town. Glad I could show some heritage of your family with this video. Abruzzo as a region is a pearl at the centre of Italy. Often overlooked, wrongly so. But this also preserves these towns from mass tourism... Wish you a nice weekend and a big Ciao Riccardo
@@StillWanderer .. Behh..!! na meraviglia bravo! .!! Me li guarderoò tutti .!!
@@CAR-LOL Grazie davvero Carlo!
We have been to Caramanico many times and it is the most beautiful town in Abruzzo. Right beside the Majella National Park, the Adventure Park and the 5 star spa. The old town is beautiful. The newer part has the lovely little art deco ski hotels. And everywhere around the fabulous Abbruzese moutains. Thank you for posting this - it makes me miss it so much!
Hi Katheryne, indeed, Caramanico is gorgeous… it’s a real shame it isn’t as famous as other ones though. But I hope to have made a little justice to it with this video. I had one of the most pleasant day when I filmed there. Great kind people as well, had a chat with some guys. Abruzzo has become one of my favourite ever regions, as you can see by the amount of videos filmed there) Wish you a nice Sunday, there wil be more Abruzzo towns in the future…
Salve Helio, oh, grazie a te! Felice che sia piaciuto il video. Caramanico è stupenda davvero... Obrigado.
Grazie mille Made in Abruzzo, bellissimo canale e video su una regione Stupenda davvero!
@@madeinabruzzo Dai, grazie davvero.
Riccardo thank you so much for this vlog I really needed to be somewhere beautiful today. The intro was fantastic. This is one of my favorite towns there is true pride in this wonderful place. I see you met a new friend. Your vlogs are great and very much need again thank you. I was there in 2015 before the collapse of the church roof.
Dear Lawsonartzy thank you so much as always and always glad to read from you and to know you appreciated it! Incredible how much you visited Italy, I always am shocked to know the towns you've seen! Indeed... they even closed another church nearby just for fear of a potential collapse... the earthquake there hit hard for sure very unfortunately... (even for people still waiting for a house again)
@@StillWanderer That is one of the main things tourist don't know is the real and very sad side of Italy. When I go to your wonderful country I always try to patronize businesses that try to help locals after a disaster. I've even helped clear ruins on vacation.
Glad you enjoyed also Caramanico dear Ivan. And nice to see you again; indeed, that part was something a little different, quite peculiar with the local folklore
I like the contrast with the quiet near-deserted streets during your walk, then the lively atmosphere with the people and folk singers in the end. Tragic about the earthquake that took place. Many beautiful, picturesque scenes in this town. I like the houses with the flowered plants in front during your walk at Via Palestro, especially the ones at 52:28, 54:28 and 55:08. The view from there towards Via della Riga was stunning. Actually rewinded it a couple of times! 😀
I can’t understand where all of the people are. When my husband and I went to Italy all of the streets were crowded with people. Not one person within miles. Wow
There is a Chinese Supermarket (12:25) which reminds me that I've been meaning to ask if there are many Chinese restaurants in Italy. Of course, in Canada we say "let's go out for Chinese". We might also say, "I feel like Italian tonight". Whereas you Italians simply say, "let's go out for dinner".
Quite the same Sharon in here! Though... not as many Chinese restaurants as there I guess... though in bigger cities it's completely different of course
Salude a Mexico!
What a beautiful town. Love the plants and colourful flowers. You didn't see hardly anyone during the walk then at the end all of a sudden there were people and the dancers. Thanks for taking a video of the music, I love all the different dances/music. Would tourists come to this town for the thermal baths? P.S the two ladies at the beginning of the video were very animated with their hand gestures, you can just imagine them saying: "ma perché?" Or something like that. Wonderful video, as usual, Riccardo👏
Thank you Geraldine) glad you enjoyed also Caramanico! Indeed...only when I finished the video I saw the people dancing :/ but surely wanted to film..such interesting folklore music and dresses too actually. Something different this time) Aha noticed the ladies too )
@@geraldinehadiwidjaja7421 ahhh for sure Geraldine.. I was reading an interesting funny story about it, where they said it one could trace it back to the fall of the roman empire, when after many years people couldn't understand even from city to city becuase of accents etc... and gesticulating helped to understand each other! True or not I don't know though :)
Seems like every italian town has a street or piazza named «Vittorio Emanuele II», «Garibaldi», «XX Settembre», «Risorgimento» and «Cavour». I can't imagine building these houses back in the day, with limited means!
True Hugo , every single town for sure has a Garibaldi Square for sure. We actually joke about it a lot , as many signs say he passed there briefly. He must have been everywhere I guess (true or not ))
Hi. We've just been watching your video with great interest. Thanks for posting. Can I ask when it was filmed? In one of the scenes (with the dancers), the neon sign outside the Farmacia suggests 23 Jan. 2021 at about 20:00 hrs. Is that correct? Seems quite warm and bright. I'd maybe even expect snow?
Hi Mundo, thanks for your words and glad you enjoy the videos! It was filmed in September 2021 - Abruzzo can be quite harsh with weather so I did my best to film in the last days of Summer) In winter there's definitely snow yup
@@StillWanderer Thank you for clarifying, clearly the Farmacia was experiencing some technical issues with their sign. I couldn't imagine people wearing Ts in January in Caramanico.
Grazie to you dear Loreto, glad you enjoyed it. By the way...did you see the walking tour in the town of.....Loreto? I was there a few months ago. Your name)
