was expecting to see you here when I saw the title ngl, love the work you’ve been doing and your tone and technique have been great inspirations. from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Thanks so much man. Just so everybody knows - Nathan WAS invited, and even started recording, but his throat was too sore to complete the project. Hope you’re feeling better dude and defo get you on the next one! ❤️
Incredible job putting this together Jamie. Really great arrangement that was a lot of fun to play. I just read all the wonderful comments (there are a LOT). Thanks for making it happen.
And Ty you all for being the best teachers ever the best thing is as a beginner I have learnt something from everyone of you from your videos this performance was incredible :)
Jay, you have been fantastic as always, and somehow, you are the first sax RU-vidr I have ever subscribed to. I think the first video I saw was about that cheap Amazon Alto saxophone that you compared to your Yanni. Since then I subscribed to all the guys in the video and more (like Saxologic and SVS).
Wait, am I the only one wearing a coat? We're saxophonists, for god's sake, not aerobics instructors. Great arrangement and a fun asynchronous hangout!
Scott, I am so glad you were a part of this. I love your style - your unique sound is so complimentary to the music and the rest of the group! It made my day to see you in this performance!
You were fantastic as always Scott. I love watching your videos as well, and also have the Scott Paddock SYOS mouthpiece :-) which is very bright and powerful.
Wow!! Scott you were killing it!!! You definately are hanging in great company with this legend group and deservedly so! What an incredible musical product was produced from this mix of the the best of the best!
Duuuude! You nailed it down in the Mexico sunshine!! Thanks once again for taking part and doing such a brilliant job. It’s been awesome to properly connect and I hope we’ll do something else soon! Big love ❤️
Dang Dave - so many comments saying you slayed it, which you totally DID! Can’t stop playing your solo. Thanks so much for taking part and can’t wait to hang out face to face sometime. Soon I hope! Big love ❤️
This is literary the best line up😭. As someone who learned from all these people and still does to this day, this is my new favorite video on RU-vid! Thank you everyone!!!
I have learned a lot from all the featured educators here … to hear you all play together is just the finest living proof of the spirit of musicianship.. Wow .
So killer!! When I initially saw the title and 6-pic, I thought somebody must be messin round making mischief or something. Nope, just all my Dudes together as one Saxtubing Force!! Brilliant arrangement Jamie 🤩. Such unique and colorful solos from each of you it’s so great to see you in your element, pure joy! Oh and thank you Jamie for the multiphonics and rockin that madness on the soprano - soprano can be rough and tough like the rest of the family! 😉
WOW!!! Incredible! Awesome! I can't believe that all 6 of you (Jamie, Jay, Wally, Nigel, Dave and Scott! -- all my favorite on-line sax teachers!) got together for this fantastic collaboration! I don't have enough superlatives to express what I feel. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! Awesome arrangement! Awesome solos! So good to hear you all in action!
I can safely say each one of you has helped me on my Sax Journey in some way, and for that I say THANK YOU! As for the playing, you guys killed it. Keep Swinging!!
Drop the Mic !!! Absolutely amazing performances by all. If there was an Olympics for Saxers you all won gold! Soooo good. Thanks so much for your extensive efforts to do this. It reminds us of the fantastic talent that you all make available to us for inspiration and teaching on line. You are all the absolute best! This is a fantastic example of a great internet experience. An extra thanks to Jamie for making it happen !
I love this. I know these guys play well but the teaching format doesn’t allow them to be performing as they would on stage. I appreciate their talents more after hearing this performance of solos and combos. Thanks for doing this.
wow i LOVED jay and Nigel’s solos. Such amazing content released from all of you for such a long period of time- what an epic collab with such great musicians producing amazing music
OMG How fantastic was that!! To see & hear all of these great saxophonists collaborating like this is just truly awesome & isn't it just great to think that we have these great educators at our finger tips! The power of technology eh. Thanks again guys watching that video has really made my weekend.😀
Wow! What an amazing performance - this is most impressive and memorable sAxtet ever!! 🥳🎷. You are such an inspiration and an invaluable source of knowledge and experience to all of us! 👏🏻👍🏻 I have personally had so much fun, quality help, guidance and even personal feedback from you guys - I can’t thank you enough! Keep up the great work you do 😃🎷
Suggestion if you want to make another online saxophonist dream team; Nathan Gabriel (Saxologic), Grace Kelly, Leo p, Chad LB, ect. This was enough for the rest of my life though so thank you!!
Wow!!! I cannot express what a joy it is to hear my favourite youtube sax players jam. I’ve gleaned so much knowledge and pure enjoyment from each player and teacher. And as a member of Dr. Wally Wallace’s Saxophone Academy, wow again! And such an amazing arrangement! Dayam! This is what it’s about!
Kind of a late comer to this video. Love all these and studied and applied a-lot their teaching content. This was great collaboration. I particularly leas taken by Dr. Wally’s alto tone and articulation. Reminded me of the great Paul Desmond. Just wondering, was this intentional? I’ve watched / listened to tons of Dr.Wally’s teaching and never got a “Desmond vib”. Again just wondering if Dr.Wally ever deliberately tried to develop a Desmond sound \ style, not necessarily for this vid, but just because liked Desmonds tone/ phrasing/ style?
This was super guys, each solo so different from each other, brilliant, thank you, it was nice to see you together as I am a big fan of you all and learn so much from watching you r lessons💪👍🎼🎷
110% + Brill to all who take part. I have always thought Nigel (Tenor) and Doc (alto) are the two smoothest Tutors I have heard. But how wrong I was. Scott U was unbelievable & Dave was just as brill too, Jay that is the smoothest I have heard from you, and Jamie I know about you because I the concert vid. What I see here is how the gap between playing and tutoring is so wide. Brilliant & can't wait for the next one. But! one person was missing Paul Haywood, and 7 is a lucky No
Does Pro Saxophonist mean nobody wants to pay you for doing anything else? Just kidding 😂. I enjoyed you all separately and together it's like brothers from another mother. Now for the tough questions. Does easy internet exposure lead to a reduced need to produce albums and tour to promote said album? Is that a bad thing? When are you all coming to my town? I can see the Marquis all lit up. Six Sick Saxes and the Sixth sense.
Hey Jeff. For one thing internet exposure isn’t easy, but to your point, no I don’t think it impacts producing albums or touring etc. trying to get us all together would be a logistical nightmare mind you!
No really. I dont think anyone truly understands how meaningful this is to me. I've interacted with all of these people as so have they many times and it's great seeing them all together. Thank you Jay, Jamie, Nigel, Scott, Wally and Dave.
What an awesome collab!!! I actually follow all of you guys and even though I am a Band Teacher myself you’ve helped me to continue to grow and learn about music and saxophone. Thanks to all of you!!!
We're all growing, I learn from these guys too (very fun to bounce ideas around with Jamie). As a band teacher, it's good to have online sax community as well - it can be a lonely job!
What a wonderful collaboration from my favourite online sax teachers. Thank you for everything I've learned from you which contributes to my ever increasing pleasure of playing the saxophone. I wouldn't have come so far without you. Again, many many thanks.
This is such an incredible collaboration. First, it blew me away when Jamie said he was bringing me all my favorite sax youtubers. How did he know that I listen to each one all the time for excellent lessons. These guys are my sax all-stars. There has probably never been a better time to learn to play the sax because we have access to such great talent. Thanks Jamie for making this happen and to all the players for amazingly diverse takes on Caravan.
Ohhhh guys you made my day. How wonderful to hear that. Also, how much work is in that video.....absolutely amazing. I try to play along 1,2,3,4 bridge, 1,2,3,4 last A clap clap clap. I send my video to jamie in 30/40 years.
I enjoyed listening to this whole video! Interesting to hear the different styles and approaches from each soloist! Jamie, what you can do with a soprano sax is out of this world - never heard it played like this before!
Wow what a fabulous collaboration, thank you all so much for producing this and sharing. I’ve learned so much from each and every one of you. You’re all awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎷🎼🎵🎶🎶
I’ve learned from each of you and was blown away by the arrangemen, ensemble, and all of the solos!! Talk about an inspiration. Thank you Jamie for leading the way on this. 🙏
🥰🥰🥰 what a fabulous one 🎶🎷🎶 great you are collaborating, not competing against each other. Love it, following all of you and enjoying. Thank you all for sharing. Though... no women playing here? 🤷♀️
Hey dude - thanks so much. Missed you on this one, would love to get you on the next one, not just as you’re a brilliant musician and player, but cos you bring so much to the YT sax education space. You can play the sop part on tenor! 🤣 PS I’ve got a separate vid in a couple of weeks on the arrangement. You’re gonna dig that one I think! I know how much you like a mixo b9 😉
Well look at that! Six of my favourite sax pros in the same place at the same time!!! Great job guys! Totally enjoyed that. Let's do it again really soon!!!
I recently started playing the saxophone and been using every single one of your guys videos to better my playing. Straight up avengers level team up 😂
Incredible arrangement Jamie! And kudos on bringing these all-star educators together. What a great performance. It’s nice to see so many of my teachers in action.
Bravo! Bravo!👏 I am a fan of all you Guys and watch all of your RU-vid videos. I cannot say enough on how my playing the saxophone has gotten better because of you. Keep it coming and I look forward to your next project!
Simply WOW! As a lot of people have already said, I have learnt so much from each one of you so seeing this amazing collaboration is wonderful. You are all so talented. I must put this on a loop, it's simply fantastic.
I view all of you, then agree with the one that says what I want. Actually I know next to nothing, so whatever any of you say goes. I thought sax would be easier than guitar with only one note to deal with at a time. There are so many variables that it is quite complicated and confusing.
Well - Jamie, you've created a legendary video, here. I have spent many hours learning from all of these fantastic teachers, including you. Each one has a unique style. All have been so generous, providing free content to get the new sax player on their way, followed by more in-depth lessons for a reasonable price. Congratulations to everyone featured in this video - I believe that your success is a direct result of your outward desire to share something you truly love. Thank you, Jamie. I'm definitely sending a coffee your way!
Awesome work Jamie! The SaxTube All Stars really is killing it! Congrats also to Scott, Dave, Nigel, Wally and Jay! More to come? Hope so! The six of you played so hip solos! Enjoyed it a ton! Thanks again !
Loving it 👏👏👏👏👏👏. That was an early morning treat. I’ve learned so much watching you guys since I started playing 4 years ago. Lovely to see you all together 🕺
@@GetYourSaxTogether Wally was good but you were amazing! Didn’t know it’s possible to get that kind of sounds out of a soprano👍😁. But should have a baritone solo too!!
And you have more than 24 hours in a day! How can you otherwise be commenting and answering almost every social media message!? I thought you still play your saxes, even practise a bit🧐. Or maybe you came from outer space😉! Anyhow, keep it up👍! 🌹
This All Stars DEFINITELY needs to make more videos. Mr. Jamie, this was a magnificent arrangement. I'm learning so much just at looking at the PDF. I really appreciate it.
@@GetYourSaxTogether No unfortunately not me Jamie. I’m a lifetime player / older gig head but tragically on the wrong instrument. 40+ year of guitar under my belt
I've been playing this video on repeat all weekend. It's so cool on so many levels 🎷😎. The amount of talent in these 10mins is just incredible. Thank you for inspiring us and pleasing our ears . Respect .
