On this 40 year old caravan at some point there was a functioning jockey wheel clamp. Not today, I'm afraid it's now time to remove the welded piece from the draw bar. To be fair I don't want anything welded to the drawbar, so the Gas Cylinder will be removed too.
I then will need to seal the exposed steel with a paint on water soluble sealant.
In the end the complete steel frame will be wire-brushed to remove any loose debris, re-sealed and then painted.
