Yippee, the best Video yet. Explains all aspects of the Truma Combi Boiler. No more time wasting and faffing around.…!! Far better than the Handover Demo we received. Can’t thank you enough……😀
Paul, first night in the new van. Freezing until we found your video. Straightforward and simple explanation of the system. Many thanks, we're now toasty warm!
Just found this video, very useful and informative, I can now use My heating, will be warm through these horrible dark and damp winter nights now, this is the 1st time I've been able to use the heating properly, My dealer did give Me a run through, but not a very informative one, I'm a permanent caravan dweller (PCD) and need the heating for My dogs..Thank you.. Andy
Thank you. Our Freedom Jetstream comes with this control panel as standard. We were really lucky in that the Stafford dealer gave us a first rate run through on how it works. Your video was a really good refresher so thanks. 👍.
I used Reset to correct an issue with my heat and now have no icons at all except the clock and wrench on the bottom right. I have done some basic troubleshooting...turned off/on battery, on/off power, checked fuses , and still don't have my icons. Anyone have any advice?
I've returned to caravaning and have purchased a caravan with a Truma heating system. I tried to get the heater blowing hot hair through 240v supply. do i need to fill the water tank as all i was getting was cold air. The van is new so should be ok! Thanks G
Better controls than the old fasioned rocker switches and dial thermostat we have Paul. Can the room temperature be displayed permenant rather than the time? Cheers. Rob
My screen won’t turn on? I have the cable from this to the boiler connected. Do I need anything else? Does the screen need its own 12v feed or just from the boiler?
Hi Chrissy, if the lights are the newer LED ones as opposed to the older lights they should run on the 12V battery. In terms of running a TV you need a 12V one that normally plugs into an old cigarette-style port. Now since they are running off battery need something to top the battery up. So you could if it's maybe for a weekend use the battery as long as don't have blown heating fan going maybe. Even better if you then add a solar panel to the roof that then charges the caravan battery. Worse case you could always hook up the car back to the van and run that to charge the caravan battery. Hope that helps.
No you can heat water without heating van. Only thing is that the heater will still pump out some heat from it so if it's hot keep it off until you need it.
Hello paul,I have a swift 622,when I hook it up to the electricity in my yard,I have it on electric 2,but are you saying it should be on mix 2,when on electric 2 and temperature 26 degrees it dosent warm the van up very much and the air coming out of the heating nozzles is not very powerful, please help😀
Thanks for the comment Leslie, Sorry RU-vid didn't send your commetn through till now. If you have it on electric only it's 2KW of power. If put it on mix 2 it's either 4KW or 6KW normally of power been added to the air. The other thing you have control of if it's like this panel here in the video is the speed of the fans. If it's on Eco or low then the power won't be great. The other thing to consider given it's a swift is that sometimes they decide to put heating pipes under the van. Now that isn't biggest issue in the summer but a huge issue in the winter as the pipes leak heat. So it could be that the pipe is runnign under van and losing heat. If it's still an issue might be a return to dealer if you can.
@@RollingwithTheRobsons thank you, much appreciated, I looked at the pipes and they seem to run inside the van, just behind all the wooden compartments, bye
Hi John, Thanks for the comment. I will be honest and say I don't know. I am guessing not as the boiler will be different and think they use different cabling but can't be sure.
Hi Mr Robson, Thank you so much for your thorough explanation. I have a question. I have the same air water/ heater in Canada. It is called the Wolf with the same control panel. There is no error on the screen. My flame Icon is not flashing. It is solid from the beginning. Shouldn't it be flashing till it reaches the desired temperature. Should I program the gas icon before selecting the Indoor heat and water icon settings? Any Suggestions. I have a 30 gallon fresh water tank that is 3/4 full for the testing. Thank you so much
Sorry didn't notice this till now. Yes if not flashing it's not heating for some reason. Not sure as never used a Wolf system. Best person to ask if probably wolf themselves. They are are normally quite good most companies.
