I'm 28 and I did not grow up in a Pentecostal church but my mother came from that background and it was past on to me through my love of Gospel music. This is wonderful to me. Somebody my age might not get but that's on them.

I get tired of hearing the phrase " Old school ". God is a Eternal God and he does not cater to the old nor the new because he is the Alpha & Omega, the beginning and the end and the end between too! All he wants is to be worshiped and glorified. Traditional gospel accomplishes that and contemporary gospel does to. Which ever you do do it to the glory of God! The Lord will receive both.

That something is "REALNESS"!!!! They not singing for show...it's REAL & you can tell b/c they don't have to put on a "SHOW" & try to make people shout or do a whole lot of other foolishness many of the contemporary artists of today tend to do!!! They just stand flat-footed & sing under the anointing & let God take care of the rest!!! I love them & they don't get the credit they deserve...they should be on every gospel show that comes on so the young folk can see how it's supposed to be done!!!!

Those Sisters were bad!!!! They could wreck a place in a matter of minutes and with the audience wanting more. I love their voices and and praise .I am blessed each time I listen to this.

One time Patti Labelle made Debra laugh when she complemented her on her dress at The Walk Of Fame Award show which honored Patti. Patti told her "I'm Scared Of That Dress" during her acceptance speech and Debra laughed and smiled. That was the only time Debra look genuinely happy for five seconds.

So many seem to know what church was back in the day cause they call it old school so what the heck is the church scene today? How about " pre-school! ". Because they don't know how to worship and praise the Lord. Their singing is done for show and not from the soul. They are advertising their high heels, nails, suits, fine hairdos and hats! Mahalia Jackson did not care about her outer appearance she just sung her songs directly to her Lord. Glory! Go back to the old landmark please!
