WINNER SELECTED: "BlackedOut Benz". He has responded and claimed his prize. Thank you to everyone for participating. Be on the lookout for more giveaways in my upcoming R8 Mod Vlogs.
I’m so happy, I literally cannot believe I got picked. I just wanted to ask, would it be difficult for you to send just the wallet and hat? I wanna be honest, I have the w204 and was wondering if you could save the wing for another give a way potentially for someone else with the w205 model? If you can’t and it would be difficult, I would more than gladly still accept. I would just like to give another person a shot at winning it. I’m sorry if this seems disrespectful in anyway.
Bro, to be honest…I was hoping you would say that so it goes to a w205 owner. I can definitely send you the wallet and hat and I’ll send you something else too. I’ll send you an email later today. 😎🤙🏼
Thanks Flexx for the info on #JCsportline. I'm an avid carbon fiber parts fan and have been searching for a great seller with reasonable prices. Let the carbon fiber continue!!!!
#JCSportline gimme that hat broski! In all seriousness love the videos man. Miss the C250 tho. And u def got some fresh merch. We gotta get more ppl reppin the Flex brand! Saw those snowboards in the background too. We gotta meet up at Mnt Snow or Killington this winter. I'm down the street in Hartford CT
@@TheFlexxGarage I feel like that thing has enough power, I just think the aero is gonna help keep er planted around corners and what not. Can’t wait to see what else you got next in mind for the r8👀
Literally. This car sticks to the road like glue. I’ve never driven a car that handles like this car and it being low and the Quattro makes cornering soooo easy. Sometimes kinda scary how fast you can take turns.
Any issues with those front canards only being secured by double sided tape? Getting ready to add some to my C63 and heard mixed thoughts on needing screws as well. You use 3M VHB? Thnx
Nope. 3M VHB is so strong if you install it correctly and prep the surface. I’ve used it on all my splitters, side skirts, carnards, spoilers and more.
Never had an issue. Tons of people do the same thing. The adjustable spoiler is not fragile, it’s just flex’s a lot but i actually have some brackets holding it down to be more stable.
I've got that same wing coming on Friday for my 2012 R8 Spyder. What type of screws did you get? You mentioned in the video you didn’t use the ones that came with it.
I don’t remember but they are the same size but slightly longer. Any auto part store should have them. Just take the included screws to the store and ask for a few slightly longer versions.
@@TheFlexxGarage I'll pick up a set tomorrow and post the length here for future reference. BTW, nice work on the video. Going to use these instructions.
I don’t know. I like to mod cars that had a huge following with tons of aftermarket support. Hence why the base Mercedes c300 and base Audi A4. The R8 actually was never meant for RU-vid 🤷🏻♂️
@@TheFlexxGarage Appreciate the follow-up. Your vids have been super helpful since there's not much R8 modification content out there. To clarify for other audiences in case anyone else was confused like me (maybe I'm just slow, lol). For those of us that have never used OBD11, it's not obvious that the "app" (single code) within the OBD11 main app initially used didn't work. Subsequently, another app was referenced with a screenshot. Again, for those not familiar with OBD11, I interpreted this as a completely different app (not inside of the OBD11 main app). Did some more research on OBD11 and learned that OBD11 app has two different apps (codes) for controlling the spoiler activation. In general OBD11 calls each coding feature as "one-click apps". The "Rear Spoiler Control" app did not work for this use-case of permanently deactivating the spoiler. For that, you'll need "Rear spoiler Activation/De-Activation" app.
