Thanks for explaining this! Now, I want to haul out my paper cutter and cut a bunch of card stock! I'm glad you have organized things into playlists, too- it makes it nice and easy to find inspiration.
I've always wanted to send my clients hand-made Christmas cards but it always seemed so impossible due to the number of cards I'd have to make. This makes it more than possible and they can still look good and creative. Thank you!
This is a very late comment to your video, but well, I just saw it and took notes. My, this calls for lots of Maths, at which I'm no good at all: our basic card stock is of a different and frankly, a weird size. But I'll get there! If you like, I could share with you the International measurements for Flash Cards. Something else: since streaming this video, you've seen your own bundle come out. The Dutch and their coffee are like the British and their tea. So naturally, I used your bundle to make cards for perfect strangers! I purchased a Memories and More card kit and used them all, making some quite feminine, but most of them general and added the coffee cups from your bundle. Dutch Privacy Laws prohibit me to send these cards, but I was able to locate a person who can distribute the cards to those who need a smile. Thank you so much for helping to make this possible! I was raised to share what I have and I feel blessed that I could do this. Next, I'll make a batch using your Flash Card System!
I've just recently come to the realization that I should prepare some card components ahead of time because my card making has been a very scattered process so far. It's like I'm reinventing the wheel EVERY.DARNED.TIME! 🙄😄😄😄 Your Flash Card system is the organizational boost that I need.⭐😁
I love going back to your videos over the years. You have such a giving heart. I am so blessed to have come across your videos a few years back and when our group stopped I was able to join you. You have beautiful card ideas and fun Tuesday tips. Thank you, Connie, for being an amazing inspiration and help. What a blessing!
Connie, you knocked it out of the ballpark! I have loved your flash card videos, but this just clicked with me! I guess I just made it too complicated before. Thank you! I will be heading into my craft room later today, and working on flash cards!😊
Thank you connie this is a great way to use all the card without much waste at all. I think I'll have a go and cut up a few sheets tonight . Great tips as usual. Xxx
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Connie, for this WONDERFUL video “reboot”!!! I LOVE FLASH CARDS TO GO Ideas! I AM NOT a fan of cutting so, for me, your FLASH CARDS TO GO offer to order from your site is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! I’ve done it previously, and have been SO THRILLED & APPRECIATIVE! I think it is a TERRIFIC OFFER for both “Newbies” & “SEASONED” stampers, too! And the MYRIAD of card ideas in your playlists is FABULOUS! Love it! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’, CREATIN’ n’ CUTTIN’! Have a lovely day! :-))
Connie, thank you so much for this. I am in Europe so our measurements are a little different so I improvised and prepped a flash card box of long and short flash cards in colours and white. I have been playing with these all morning. X x x
Ahi, I watched this video a few days ago. Yesterday I bought a new ream of white CS and spent the day cutting an empty tissue box full of the colored CS BG and the white. Can't wait to get busy with having so many pieces cut and ready to use. Thanks for sharing...
Hi Connie! How did you know that your flash card videos and 2 minute Tuesday videos are what I binge watch? My daughter got us Roku for our TV so I can watch RU-vid right on the TV! I think she thought I would watch Netflix but no, it's card making and stamping for me! My husband says you're his favorite of the card making instructors I watch. We both appreciate your energy and the professional way you present yourself.
Ah Connie, what a great timely reminder from you ! Am always sliding toward complicated - but can't do them - so thanks for your new video , and reminding me about your flashcards to go. Thanks for sharing them.
Thank you, Connie...the Flash Card System is right up my skillset. Your videos are great, and they have been saved on my Pinterest board so I can review at anytime. Also, I wanted to thank you for your lessons by placing an order with you...many thanks...grateful.
I love this flashcard system! It is a great idea and very freeing when you just want make a quick card. Thanks so much for the printable instruction sheet! So helpful!
Love the scene on inside and luckily i still had some paper left. They came out great, even the one i sliced insteaf of scoring part way on first score
Hi Connie, I am glad you did an updated video. It's such a great idea! And, may I just say that the color of lipstick you're wearing is YOUR color, absolutely perfect for you! 💋💄Do you remember what color it is? Love you, you are the best!
Love your Flash Card System, several years ago you showed us how you stored your flash cards after cutting them. Would you please show that again. Thank you.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Wonderful idea, 1st thinner I heard of flash cards technique. I am happy to have seen this and look forward for your videos on F.C. 2.1 I believe you said...I will go to site and watch this again too good not to!!! Thank you
I love this system with flash cards that you have shown us. I am in the UK and most of our cards are either 6x6 or 5x7 so our dimensions would be totally different, have you done a video with this flash card idea which we could use here in the UK. I love your videos but find it so hard to adapt to UK sizes. Thanks for everything you do
I haven't watched the flash cards 2.0 video yet, but for the 2.0 cuts you made in this video, couldn't you just cut the neutral (top) layer 1/8 inch smaller so the border is as big as the first set you cut?
I love your Flash Card system, but I'm still struggling to get it to work with the A2 size we have here in Ireland. Our card stock here is 8-1/4"x11-3/4", which is a real hassle for me, since I'm an American living here & I have some 8-1/2"x11" card stock (not much at this point), & the new card stock is 8-1/4x11-3/4. Ugh! I've already cut one sheet incorrectly -- although I thought I was doing well -- & the white sheet is confusing me now (because I'm using one of each size)! Onward & upward, but I've been trying to adapt your system for months now! Oh, well ... I still love your Flash Cards, Connie!
@@simplysimplestamping I knew there was a simple solution out there! I will definitely give that a try, Connie, rather than reinvent the wheel. Thanks!
The concept of flash cards is halves, in order to reduce waste, right? Just follow this video, but ignore the numbers for now: So you would start by cutting whatever your paper is in half. Then cut each of those halves in half. Once you have quarter sheets, cut each of those in half, and there you go! To get the neutral paper size, do it the exact same way, until you have 8 pieces. Then start trimming off narrow strips until you have the border you want. When you have all your pieces cut, measure them and tell us what you ended up with =) I'm in the US so I don't have any A4 paper handy, or I'd do it for you!
I occasionally charge for tutorials but actually my Flash Card System tutorial is free at simplysimplestamping.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Flash-Card-System.pdf
