Jeb… I’ve made my first cardboard sword. Thanks to you and your techniques, you helped me make my favorite sword from Witcher 3, and saved my art grade. Thank you.
My lord jeb…please….you must let me know how you get all this cardboard!!…ive been working on a gundam cosplay and ive alread run out of cardboard after having to remake the breastplate!!!!
Hardware stores have big boxes for pretty cheap Many grocery stores will give you their cardboard boxes for free if you ask them early in the morning when the store opens before they toss them in the dumpster Recycling plants are also a good bet, especially for REALLY big pieces, but the trade off is you often don't know where it's been, so make sure to clean what you get with some disinfectant wipes and you'll be fine.
For more stronger and less floppy cardboard try useing uncorrugated cardboard, it takes longer to make thicker builds but its finishing product is very sturdy and durable compared to corrugated cardboard that can collapse when squished, it's good for certain parts of builds like blades and handles and structures
