The writers clearly don't know how to play Vanguard. They had Kai make 2 mistakes, first he wasted 2 cards guarding two atks instead of just taking the first two damage and then using Tahr to block Blaster Dark who would need 2 triggers to break through. With that he would've saved Aermo for guarding against PBD and would've survived to win the game. Second he wasted Nehalem for guarding against PBD when it provided no difference to the amount needed to break through. I know he was supposed to lose but you'd think the writers could at least make it happen without him making clear mistakes like that.
why did Kai call Nehalem to GC against PBD? It wouldn't have made any difference if it wan't used to guard, as Kai only needed 40000 to guard without triggers with 1 to pass. It literally doesn't matter whether Nehalem was called to GC or not. Also, Kai should've retired Blaster Axe instead of Blaster Rapier with Waterfall's skill. That way, Ren wouldn't have enough to guard against Overlord's attack (unless the one card in hand was Nemain and not PBD, but if that happens, Ren wouldn't be able to use PBD's retire skill on his turn), and Kai would have won.
No, kai had only 51k power to Attack the dark dictator while it had a 58k guard, even if the target changed to blaster axe, he would still have 53k guard which gives us the same result

So, correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure Kai's defensive strength was 58000 at the end but Phantom blaster only has 48,000... how does kai get hit exactly?
@@saminuddin108 I already included the trigger, but i realize that whoever made the episode made an error forgetting to put a second force marker under phantom blaster dragon.
This is pretty late but kai has no idea how to play waterfall. He should have put both force markers on vg and gaias behind waterfall and he would have won.(also should have retired axe instead of rapier).Ren did not have enough to guard a 43k(53k from the heal trigger)beatstick.
Ayazul Haque kai had 2 gaias and he put one behind waterfall. Since he didn't guard waterfall's attack he just needed to pull a critical instead of a heal trigger to win
