noteworthy mention: PBO got a break ride in early G which defines what the deck is about today. the break ride gave it a guard restrict and changed its counter blast 3 to retire 3 and with some legend deck cards you get to multi attack with blaster dark making 4 attacks. this made the identity of what current D PBO does now minus the guard restrict (which tbf would break it) which gave a new identity to modern PNO decks, standard and premium alike. maybe you can mention this in the G episode

As a PBO andy I think we need a guard restrict if shit like Ignis can roam free having a book for a hand and swinging for 45 to 0 every turn

@@reset6292 in premium we actually have two forms. Chainrancor and greete. Both are great together as if opponent uses a PG not only do they have to use 4 cards from hand but also need to take a damage regardless.

You are somewhat wrong about the trigger forerunners only being in set 1 Angel Feather's first heal in set 6 is the exact same as Lozenge Magus. It wasn't used as a forerunner since they had proper starters on release but being able to send a heal back to deck to potentially trigger it was very on theme with them.

Barcgal doesn't let you ride early. Lewl requires a counter blast to ride to Blaster Blade. You can only get that damage after getting hit. When it's you're turn, your grade is 1, so you were going ride to grade 2 at the same speed anyway, even if you didn't superior ride. Barcgal was banned because you call units from deck with ease and gather soul quickly.

Yeah it was the combination of what was effectively a cb1 for a plus 1 at a time when that was unheard of and ensuring that you had the soul for Soul Saver on turn 3 that made Barcgal powerful. A massive early push for effectively no major cost with the only real counter being to not attack the Royals player which is a -1 to yourself was brutal.

interesting video, but it could have used with more structure and certainly more detail. Group the topics in a way that's smooth to follow (i.e. card design, ride mechanics, cost mechanics, general game mechanics, power creep per set etc.) and how explain how each have evolved from set to set. You already have some of it in there, it just turned into a mess half-way through. Keep it up.
