I know everyone knows Cardi B as “the stripper who made it huge” or a party girl.. but when she talks about having to survive financially off a man, who was domestically abusing her, and the job she had wasn’t enough to leave him... my heart goes out. There are so many women who can relate from all walks of life, and I’m glad she’s here to talk about things like that from the position she is in now.
Ik but that doesn't change the fact that she is a Stripper, a Real woman wouldn't do that for money even if that means dying, I prefer FUCKING DYING than showing and exposing my body to men.
Are you serious, "Someone shot him in the head and he dropped", that's just the kind of stuff that you see"? Brought me to tears. She hustling through her pain! Nothing but love for this young lady.
Cardi B. I'm a nurse's aid on the other side of the planet with ONE day off this week and you know what I'm doing besides laundry? Playing your interviews non-stop lol because you're FEEDING MY SOUL, YOUR PERSONALITY IS THERAPY AND YOU'RE THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO WOMEN THIS MONTH. She's got universal appeal is what im trying to say.
She came from nothing. She’s literally invested in herself, she’s smart with money & she’s real. She takes care of her family. Nothing but respect for her.
You call respect to a woman who is confused of her ethnicity and sold her body for dollars in a nightclub ? Now I understand why your generation is so unproductive and can't decide their own gender.
Roger Quintanilla oh you REALLY DID NOT JUST DIS THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY! Some people have a “condition” where they were born in the wrong body. They don’t feel comfortable with their born sex so they change it. No confusion involved. 🙄 SMH
Adrian Albarran I understand what you mean but crying doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re still processing and dealing with things which makes you strong.
Cardi is obviously intelligent. She is capable of articulating her self/thoughts very well. She honest and candid. Her hard-knock life causes people to judge or misjudge her. I guarantee there are many many many educated women living a stripers life, thug /gangsta life because of certain circumstances. Shot out to Cardi. Be well Sis.
I am starting to really admire everything about this young Lady. I didn't like Cardi B at first. However, after seeing different interviews with her and hearing what she has been through, the fact that she is very smart. She is an excellent mother to her daughter. She is very kind to people in need. She is real, she speaks her mind and I love that about her.
I must admit, there were some awkward pauses here and there BUT you can't knock the girl. She is REAL. There's no gimmick, no bullshit, no stunting for the camera. She is someone I can relate to to a certain extent because of where I come from and it gives the hope that any of us can get up and make our realities what we envision them to be. Good for her. Call her what you want, she remained true to herself which is something we don't see a lot of nowadays. Everyone's too busy trying to impress, become and/or compete with everyone else. MORE POWER TO HER ❤️
What kind of question is “would you rather your daughter was stripper or a drug dealer?”....would he want someone to ask his daughter that or would it hit too close to home👀smh. First and last video😂✌🏾
This Interview seriously brought tears to my eyes she is such a wonderful person with a beautiful soul and it saddens me how alot of people judge her and disrespect her she has alot to offer. Love You Cardi💓💓
This was honestly a awesome interview. Like I'm really starting to rock with her. I was still trying to figure out who she was and what she was about before, but I like how she hustles regardless and she actually still has some morals unlike so many up and coming artist.
Aniyah White your a big ass dummy, find yourself something to do besides put down a woman, a woman with a strong ethical background, your silly. Go to bed.
If you can actually listen to what she's really saying and see her for her than you know what she means. If you don't then go away , she's smarter than any of you and human.
When my daughter told me she was going to a Cardi B concert, I had no clue who that was. I went online and watched a few videos and I didn't like her. Then, I ran across an interview with her. My whole attitude changed and I fell in love with her. I would love to meet her in person. I love you Cardi!! Do your thang sweetie!
I did from watching this video too because all we see is the fame and the glitz and glamorous stuff that comes with being a celebrity but we never know what they're really going through behind closed doors.
56:00 - 58:25 The real Cardi was laid bare. She's in the stage of transition. I sense vulnerability, insecurity and fear within her strength, courage and humour. Cardi is a very likeable person and I feel she has a good heart underneath it all. Wishing her nothing but the best. Do your thing baby-girl.
Just because she's not articulate or has limited vocabulary doesn't make her stupid. You have to look past that and look deep in to the thought she is trying to convey to you. If you look at her answers they make sense. People listen to her thick Bronx rican accent and limited vocabulary and all of a sudden she's stupid. The girl may not be academically smart but she is street smart. She understands the streets and reality of certain situations.
My heart broke when Vlad asked her about her riches & happiness… you can see the genuine pain & hurt in her eyes as she pauses before she says “sometimes” & goes on to explain… 🥺 Cardi is such a beautiful person both inside & out. It’s so heart warming to see her succeed after everything she has been thru. I really love her as a person & artist. She truly deserves all the blessings she has received. People love to talk bad about her but she’s so raw, it breaks my heart that social media has made her fall back & say less. Cardi has always been real & that’s why people either love her or hate her. She isn’t scared to be HERSELF. One thing you can’t deny is that she is REAL, always has been & always will be.
"Please God I'm hungry..." mad respect for her to do something about it. And dedicating her life to improve and survive... survival of the fittest and she overcame all odds.
KoDOS TO HER TO..MAKE IT HAPPEN WHAT IS GOING ON THE GROUND BAKE THE WHOLE WORLD BLOW-UP AND YOU GET CLOSE TO ALLAH STAY STRONG KNOWLEDGE WISDOM...💯🙏🏿🤕🔨🏃🏾♀️🧟😨🌟💖
@@TS-qq7vr respect- a feeling of admiration for someone. If somebody wants to admire cardi for getting herself out of a struggle then let them, respect is subjective. Clearly you are the one who doesn’t understand respect.
Silver Fox Getting money doesn't make you smart. There's people like Donald trump who are horrible businessmen and are dumb as fuck, but still get money.
bkfinest006 Right, there's strippers that make millions of money. There's reality starts like Prosha Williams that make millions as well and are dumber than a brick. Cardi is tricky because it confuses me if she's just dumb or if it's beachside it seems she has a hard time articulating herself. I don't know witch one. But, young girls should most definitely not look up to this girl. They can do better. But there's also no need to bash cardi.
they shouldn't look up to her behavior or lifestyle. at least they can learn that you can make something of yourself regardless of intellectual abilities. you don't have to be articulate to succeed in life. just the will alone to do better.
Cardi B is amazing! She is so smart and knows what she’s doing. I agree that the interview was focused on the wrong thing. She’s an amazing musical artist!!! Focus on that!!
Valeria S The interviewer was trying to play her, but because she's a REAL ASS person, ALL his shade went right over her head and she handled his ass accordingly.
Absolutely, she's very tempered and intelligent, it is disappointing listening to him trying to put words into her mouth about stripping and her countering him and not having it, but he just refuses to get it. Slutshaming, supporting slutshaming and pretending he's not doing it when it's clearly inherent.
She's very aware and smart. She just doesn't have the speech to express it. But i know her mind goes much further than her vocabulary and i love the honesty
I was shocked at that what the fuck j usually hate cardi because I feel as if she puts on a real sad act these days on camera. I ha e never heard her speak like this.
Cardi is cool. Y’all need to listen to her and how she grew up. I love listening to people’s story and how they navigate their own experiences. She’s really smart .
I didn't know anything about Cardi B before, but there is something about this young woman that I really like. She comes across as so open, honest and lovable.
she just rolled right over it, like its completely shut out of her memory. VLAD is acting like the discipline that made her the woman shes becoming is wrong.. Those were completely different times. The Bible says, 'spare the rod, spoil the child'. He's trying to push his own feelings and agenda. I think this is my last VLAD interview viewing. He's a BITCH
I mean strippers are literally called dancers bc they literally dance to music and shaking their asses and even poledancing is a part of their dancing performance even if you think it’s vulgar. They are dancers who perform sex work. Ballerinas are also dancers. However is a ballerina the same thing as a stripper or can you consider a stripper to be a ballerina even tho both of these people fall under the category of dancing? She has a point.
I like her accent it's sexy to me😅 and I don't understand why people don't like her people need to give her a chance. I like the fact that she's real .
KPURDY why are all these people hating this female people don't know what she's been through. Yes I'd like a lady with class but how do people know her personally? Point blank I like a lady in the street but a freak in the bed who can handle me. Like I said if you don't know her personally then please stop hating on her. And probably all these people are hating. Because she was a stripper. I've met females that are not strippers and have more bodies then a morgue under their belt. She's just too real for peoples taste that's all.
This is inspiring? Actually, it's not at all. Cardi B is an ex stripper with fake breasts, a fake behind and a very limited vocabulary. I couldn't watch the entire interview because I despise ignorance.
@@charliem.5813 I see no problem in people looking up to her, following the same footsteps as her, maybe not, but, she has obtained her goals, she made it out of the struggles that's enough for people to say hey if she can do it so can I. If you really listen she makes sense and seem more wise than a lot of folks for to be so dumb like alot of yall claim.
She made it out the strip clip not hooked on drugs or with an abusive leach, not only that she made it to the top of the rap game by 30. She a lot smarter than ppl think.

Cardi is more down to earth....than I initially thought. She really opened up about some real stuff. Good interview....but Vlad tried to make her look stupid...but she held her own and expressed herself well!
C'mon Vlad, you know exactly what Cardi is trying to get at. She isn't articulating it correctly but she's tryna say that you can have preferences as long as you don't make folks feel "less than".
Yes, I think that's the point she was trying to make. I think the problem with Vlad is that he expects females not to have a type or standards. Guys like that get annoying and are going to be made to feel like crap by any triggered female.
I wanted to cry for her smh. Vlad you spent the whole first half reading back statements shes said in jest, not asking real questions. More like, oh you've said you're a ho and can get any guy right, so uh how's that going for your body count??? Wtf? She looked so uncomfortable it's unfair she doesn't get fair, real interviews asking legitimate questions her fans want to know about her career and music. It was awkward and she couldn't articulate the points she was trying to make about thick skin, how people will always find flaws no matter what, there always being negative comments about her past, without it being swung back by the guy to something else she said jokingly self deprecating before. God Cardi B needs to get some respect soon... breakfast club this, Hollywood whatever all those places are making such a joke of her. Stop talking about her body, procedures done, any guys she fucked, etc. thanks.
I agree, but I genuinely think she was actually able to articulate her points but he was just like a wall, not giving her anything because he has an inherent bad attitude towards women.
My God, never thought that she would be this smart and self conscious, because of the way Cardi has been shown in the media. I really like her, she seems great.
I got a little sad when she based her personal sense of beauty on the opinions of random men. I hope she no longer thinks this way. She's beautiful inside and out.
I just love her honesty and determination and I can't understand why people hate her because she is an inspiration to people as she is proof that you can get out of bad situations with hard work and determination and she is also an example of being true to yourself. Bardi gang forever
I really hate how he tries to make her feel stupid because it's difficult for her to articulate what she's trying to say. He will just stay silent like he doesn't know what she's talking about. If your being a good interviewer and paying attention, you will know what she is trying to say. If you don't then ask more questions, probe so you can get answers but don't just stay silent and then say she's contradicting herself when she's really not. I understood everything that she was trying to say and I don't even know her.
Idk if he was trying to make her feel dumb, I feel like he was just expecting more standard answers, and she doesn't do that. She really thinks things thru as she's answering. She'll talk about something from opposite perspectives at the same time, and it confuses a lot of people (like with the color/race/ethnicity/preference thing, if u look at the comments).
He can Fucking move yknow he can nod his Fucking head I guess when u talk to a person tht person gotta say something FOH...its called nonverbal communication...u act like Vlad shows himself in his interviews
I’ve never loved a female artist how I love her ❤️ She really does have a good heart and this video shows it! Who would imagine someone in her position feeling the feelings she does im glad she shared this interview 🤗
I really like Cardi, but I feel like when she says she knows shes not ugly because she can get any man she wants she is putting too much validation in a man's opinion. She is too smart, funny and talented for that to be a factor in her self worth.
I think she is real, honest and smart. Why is the interviewer asking her questions about sex and stripping only. You should ask questions on how she became the star she is right now.
Agreed. I found that to be odd. I wonder if her mom not talking to her about sex kept her a virgin. Somehow I doubt it. I think she hasn’t really been exposed to life beyond her hood. In time she may become more cultured. She doesn’t seem closed minded.
FeathersHeather yeah she contradicts herself in that ! She says she shouldn’t have to talk to her kids about sex yet she says it’s something natural ?🤔hmmm
This woman is actually such an inspiration. She’s so real and truthful it’s amazing. She’s so smart it’s beautiful. This is the girl you gotta look up to. She been through the shit and look where she is now. She’s amazing. Love you cardi ❤️
I almost feel sorry for her bc there is an innocence ab her. She is genuine, insecure, gullible, but has some strength that has has to be encouraged. Keep growing and making yourself better in every sencr Cardi B.
I will forever rewatch Cardi’s interview on a loop ❤️ I love her because she is strong, authentic and unapologetic. I really admire her for having the courage to openly discuss her past, the obstacles she’s faced and how they’ve all had major roles in her journey towards success. I will always appreciate Cardi B. ❤️ Edit: Cardi is one of my favorite business women ❤️ She plays no games while hustlin’ for money and respect!!
God watching the masses discuss gender and sex theory is frightening. Do yall not understand objectification is the concept behind the career In and of itself, your body and face and persona is the object that is being sold. That is an entirely different discussion then the roles the women and men take when club. We all know strippers consciously choose to be there, that’s obvious, the conversation that the original commenter is trying to have is asking the question that doesn’t get asked a lot, why do people focus on the life of a stripper as being trashy and not the focus on the life of the man who is equally trashy for going to the thing YOU called trashy in the first place. Does this make sense? These are grad school concepts , they’re not easy guys but it’s really Important
Great interview, she's such a sweetheart! I love how she didn't let the interviewer mansplain to her that a cameraman and a photographer are different roles and Beyonce isn't a stripper because she shakes her ass. She's so genuine and open she doesn't even say how sexist a lot of the questions are. Women have always had to put up with being shamed for stuff that make men "macho." Big props to her for being strong and soft at the same time, it's not easy.
I honestly thought Cardi B is just some same wanna be famous artist that have some “back story” but no, she’s different. I was shock knowing how her life was. It might sound common to others but im quite shock how real and honest she is to how her life was. Even the small details she was sharing it without any doubt. It’s really rare to see and hear artists to say things she was able to share. Some would be denying it or just make things up, but she didn’t. And thats just wow. Honesty is very very rare this days.
I just watched a few of her interviews, and I must say, that I truly respect her hustle! I love her honesty, and her personality. I wish her the very best!
He really tried to get under her skin. Kept sticking to the same damn subjects: sex/sexuality, stripping, growing up in the hood... I wanted to punch him lol Cardi handled him amazingly🙌🏽❤ my Libra sister!
having a preference is one thing, but when that preference is rooted in stereotypes and hate for your own culture, its no longer a preference, its discrimination and self-hate. MOST black men that WONT date black women are discriminating against black women and have decided that we are loud, angry, ghetto, etc.
OohlalaHolly YES there's a difference between preference and saying someone not shit cuz they black and you won't date some one like that. Please believe half these dudes saying they don't date dark skin girls would gladly have sex with them, but for marriage and having kids they only want lighter "exotic" girls.
I agree. As a Hispanic woman I wouldn't date a black man who said he wasn't attracted to women of his own race because to me that seems like self hate and lack of confidence. People should be proud of where they came from and who they are. Not cool. Many Hispanic guys I grew up with say they won't date Hispanic chicks because we are low class and uneducated. I think it is just self hate. No one should let society make them feel less because of our skin color and culture.
She speaking all type of truth in this interview when she spoke on how entering the strip club, how it effected her self esteem. Most women view their body the same way and struggle with similar body dysmorphia in everyday life.
