Hey Josh. Good question, because you are correct about multiple sources. Some do say 4 cardiac phases, but the last cardiac phases are less important for testing purposes because as PTs and PTAs we are less involved. Those are more independent phases, therefore it doesn't as much matter whether you know about three phases or four phases. The best resources for testing purposes are the ACSM guidelines (they have a book) and the "Essentials of Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy" by Ellen Hillegass because those two resources are more likely to be used for test questions.
