After meeting up with my daughter, we have a quick look to see how the Cardiff Bay Fun Fair is getting on with being set up. Then we head down to the water's edge for our fabulous boat trip on The Open Boat AKA 'The Daffodil'.

After the boat trip, we dash through the rain (yes - the whole country's having a heat wave, but here in Wales it decides to rain) to the big wheel. I am surprised by how much I enjoy it!!
Last of all, we shelter from the rain in Cadwaladers for an ice cream each, before taking the train home.
