@@declansceltic198yes, because there’s two issues going on. You have the biblical place of female deaconess which is distinct from Holy Orders. The Church has determined at this time that it will not be pursuing such a role, although one is possible. How that would play out in practical terms given the structure of the Church today would take much consideration but ultimately it’s a moot point since the Church is not interested in bringing back this role. Then you have a radical movement that wants to give women the sacrament of Holy Orders, which the Church cannot and will not do. To understand this conversation, you have to understand which is being talked about and when.
