Is your brush something that came with the blending board?

@@barbaragood1929 hi Barbara, the stubby looking brush with the black bristles indeed did come with the blending board. The hand card that I use to smooth out the lumps did not.

This is a wonderful video. It isn't like any other video I have seen using a blending board. I really appreciate your voiceover explaining why you were using specific types of wool/silk to create different textures. It was very helpful to see the different application and removal techniques you use to get a specific effect in the final product. I am just starting on my fiber/spinning/weaving journey. As an artist utilizing paint and pencils to create, I found this very helpful. I find the idea of painting/drawing with the texture of fiber very interesting. I can't wait to get started on my new blending board etc. Do you have any reccomendations for books or other resources for a beginner? Thank you for sharing your passion and your creative spirit and your lovely art. 🥰

You are most welcome. Thank you for you input into what you like about the video. While most info out there for making textural art yarn involves drumcarders, the principles a are somewhat the same. Lexi Boeger aka Pluckyfluff published an awesome book in the 2000s so I am not sure if it is still in print. I believe she has moved on from fiber art, but her info is great if you can find the book. Neauveau Fiber Art and Jazz Turtle both have good online info.
