Thank you Dr. Cal Shipley - that video was extremely helpful and the best I could find for IABP. I always had a hard time understanding how the deflation of the balloon decreased the afterload on the heart until you informed me that it creates a suction when deflated. Love all of your videos and please keep doing what you're doing!
I cannot thank you enough for this well-explained video of IABP benefits. I needed something a good visual with a solid explanation for the students I was teaching, and I shared your video to help them put it all together better. It was much appreciated!!!
This is the video that puts an end to the struggles that i have had in understanding the role of the IABP. I thought the concept was nonsense, until i found this video. Thank you so much. Very illustrative!
Excellent explanation of the IABP. I just attended a lecture about this device but I didn’t quite understand its purpose until I watched this video. Thanks
very nice explanation, I have just one objection- coronary arteries are being perfused only during diastole- when myocarium is relaxed and so that it doesn't compress these arteries
What could be the reason that patients intubated or ventilated in IABP could develop hypotension when Manual hyperinflation is used ? Btw, a great video
Extremely helpful sir, please explain about external enhanced counter pulsation treatment ( EECP) for coronary artery disease patients how to work (CAD patients) in animation video sir
