But I have two corrections if you don't mind: 1- Rheumatic fever is caused by unproperly treated streptococcal pharyngitis or scarlet fever, skin infection with streptococcus rarely causes rheumatic fever(So focus in exams on pharyngitis as the site of infection). 2- Transposition of The Great Vessels means: the right ventricle pumps into the aorta and the left ventricle pumps into the pulmonary trunk. Of course PDA and PFO are present for maintaining life. However, they are not the determinant anomalies.

Great overview, thank you very much :) 1 note/correction on "Transposition of the great vessels". These hearts can often have a PDA and PFO that's true. The real defect however is usually much more severe, with for example dextro-transposition where the right ventricle pumps straight into the aorta and the left ventricle into the lungs (leading to cyanosis).
Agreed. Transposition of the great arteries by definition means the right ventricle pumps into the aorta and the left ventricle pumps into the pulmonary trunk. The PFO and PDA become essential for life at that point, as the pulmonary and systemic circulations are otherwise wholly independent.

My doctor doesn’t take me serious I’ve progressively gotten worse year after year i haven’t had a good sleep in months, constant chest pain, I go to the doctor and voice my concerns and he only gives me a blood test and ecg, I want more tests done but the doctor won’t listen says I’m too young to worry about my heart, I’ve learned to become very calm because of this and I can guarantee it isn’t anxiety.
