I tried to learn the cascade over a couple of other videos and didn’t worked for me since my hands are not big enough. Then I saw this video and it took only a minute to learn it and it felt amazing! Thank you for this lesson!!!

Instead of ferral what if I just riffle and then shift the cards? Not as flashy but still works for me

So i have a question when im doing cardistry i like to do moves like the worm and symbol and then i see the other cardists and they are doing all kinds of awesome move do they just kinda go free style mode and do whatever or are they actually just combining lots of move. I think what im trying to as is can i just learn a lot of cardistry moves and combine them and do whatever i want and if so is that what most people do

How important are the index finger, pinky finger and thumb in the last dropping action? Should I focus on the index for the riffle, or focus on the smooth departure of cards from thumb and pinky? And lastly, is it a good idea to support the bend of cards via ring and middle finger by curling them behind the cards? Thanks :)
@lotusinhand
@lotusinhand 5 лет назад
The thumb and pinky just maintain the grip and are not doing anything. The index is doing most of the work of slowly letting go of the cards and allowing them to fall one by one. You are not actually riffling the cards, just slowly letting them go with the index. We personally don't put our ring and middle behind the cards at it might lead to the last card sticking to them and hence not fall down smoothly. But if you find it helpful then by all means do it.

One tip that was not mentioned in the video: For your thumb and pinky on the bottoms of the cards, place them at the same distance from the edge of the card. This will made it more even.

For anybody who's watching this and can't do the Faro due to using Uno cards ( like me) i came up with a workaround for that, if you do the riffle shuffle and don't do the end part with the bridge you can get mostly the same effect as the pharo but make sure that you do it right on the edge of the cards so they don't go into eachother too much

Bought tutorials are not supposed to be taught online. I understand what you guys are doing I’m just telling you about the etiquette with bought cardistry tutorials

Austin Byers whether other people charge for a tutorial of the same move has zero bearing on our rights to teach this move. What matters is whether the move is in the public domain or is it a move that someone else has created and that we do not have the rights to teach. If the people charging money for it did create the move then we are definitely infringing on their rights to teach the move. And we would never knowingly do that. But the cascade is a classic move so that is not the case here.

Austin Byers, it's not like you have invented any original flourishes, your cardistry skills most likely you learnt from people too, just because you paid them doesn't mean others people have to walk the same path as you. It means your pretty dumb to buy such flourishes online just to learn when we have the Internet.
