This is the detailed video that describes the growing, caring, and repotting tips for the beautiful flowering vine known as Petrea Volubilis (Sandpaper vine).
Sunlight Requirements - It needs sunlight of at least 5 hours a day, however, it can survive in partial shade conditions too. But don't expect it to bloom well in partial-shaded conditions.
Watering - Petria Volubilis vine can bear drought conditions to some extent but it is always better to water the plant when the soil becomes hard and dry.
Fertilizers - The vine requires to be fertilized well once a month particularly in the summer and spring season. It becomes dormant in winters, so it's better not to fertilize it in its resting period.

You could try using stem cutting method to propogate petrea. As I have never seen petrea volubilis seeds yet! And it usually bloom in the month of March here in India... Not quite sure about other regions. Hope that helps!

My Petrea vine leaves are drying a lot, they get Burned out midway , how to avoid it

Alright! But I am little uncertain if you are talking about the older leaves or the younger leaves? I mean as per my understanding, it’s winters going on in many parts of Indian region and if the older leaves are drying out then it is due to winters and nothing to worry about. However, if your petrea has started giving out new leaves and turning brown, then it could be due to several reasons which could be either due to intense heat or overwatering. If overwatered , plants receive limited amount of oxygen supply and they aren't able to breathe. Please avoid watering your plants too much if winters are still going on in your region. @@ParthMayn it's the new leaves. Inadequate Oxygen could be the reason. Will check on that. Not overwatering. Just keeping it sufficiently moist.

I see! Also, check if your plant is not root bound or the roots of the plant has started coming on the surface of the soil... If yes, its time to give her a new room to grow or else you could simply just remove the top 3 to 4 inch of its soil and offer her some fresh nutrient rich soil. All the best!

@@ParthMayn I just did that. Have watched the roots growing out and sprouting small saplings too 😀 Couldn't remove much soil though as it is become quite tight and entangled with roots. The planter is huge, hence impossible to change it now but will clean up the soil and loosen the roots definitely 🌼 Thanks for responding ❤️🌼❤️

Avoid hard pruning in the early years of the plant, like when the plant is merely 2-3 years old. However, light pruning can be done anytime, which includes the trimming of the soft branches. In Punjab, the plant usually yields blooms in the month of March or April. Once the flowering season of this plant is over, you may cut down the dead branches or the flowering stocks if you wish to. In the nutshell, let it grow freely and give it a support to climb upon... And it will thank you💚
