Are you talking about Chrom's mid-air? 'Cause that was a decent percent for any spike to kill, and plenty of spikes go through the stage in Ultimate, including Falcon's d-air.
After rewatching the clip 5 times I figured it out. I thought i had landed when i threw out that razer leaf and was expecting vine whip to boost me up since I thought i still had my double jump.

The commentator for the clip at 1:00 was so rude. He has so many "uhs" in his sentence and doesn't even know the player's name. Does he even know how to commentate a game?
Squad Strike is a new mode where you take 3 or 5 different characters into a 1v1. You can also make it so that your friends each play a different character on a team together, or have the stage changes in between knockouts.
I'm not gonna lie these compilations are getting harder to watch because commentators don't know how to take the mic out of their mouth when they pop off. It's really fuckin annoying
