I only use a TDS meter but maybe it’s time for me to invest in Gh kh test kits. Thanks for posting the video. I remineralize my water to 120 tds, but my tank tends to stay at 197 tds. I feel that is because of plant fertilizer and the addition of capata leaves that break down. When I do a water change. I try to tweak it down to a better Caridina level, but to be honest my blue bolts seem to be happy enough. They breed and I always seem to have a few little babies in there but my colony doesn’t increase much.
I use tds to check my shrimp lately blue leg poso tank went from 300-400 within a month I guess the colony have grow too large and it die off one by one.
@@RWAquariumPages sad to say that but I learn hard way. Thanks your channel to discuss how to breed them especially on Sulawesi shrimps which there in very little information on them
I’m getting close to adding shrimp. Currently TDS of 45 with KH 2 and GH4. I’ve capped the aqua soil so need to lower PH with CO2 from 7.4. How critical is the PH value? I have live plants, drift wood, almond leaves, and layered substrate.
@@gregorygrubiss6466 oh nice! Which type of shrimp are you getting. Best to ask the breeder for their parameters and try to be close to theirs for best results
