We all coming here because we miss those days of teenage innocence. We had no idea how good we had it. Our parents told us don't rush it. We've blink our eyes its 38yrs later.
I don’t know who will read this all these years later, but it is a fact that George write this song when he was about 16 years old. Amazing, the bloke was a kid when he wrote this.
I'm reading this 8 day's later. It's quite odd that there are those of us that get nostalgic and find ourselves seeking out timeless classics like Careless Whispers by George Michael. Thanks for the Music Sir , Thanks for the Memories !
His voice aged like fine wine as he got older. So, did his looks, a very handsome man & voice! And that saxophone, oh my!! We need more 🎷 saxophones in music today.. Kenny G where are you??? So, glad I grew up in the age of REAL MUSIC THAT MOVES YOUR SOUL..
This, boys and girls, is how music should be live, no electronic voice enhancement, no auto tune, just pure, raw talent. Most of today's artists could learn a lesson from George.
― Remember clubbing in '86? Looking up at the big screen on the dance floor and seeing Him or Madonna, Culture Club, Prince, Bananarama...someone reeking of Polo and dancing all night long until breakfast at dawn. The '80s were a blast.
I was 21 in '86, definitely went clubbing but for me it was all about the dancing and the music and the men. Polo, yes, but also lots of Drakkar. And don't forget the Poison and Opium perfume for the ladies. And the big hair. OMG, the HAIR. 😂😂
I love this song. I sing it this second to my wife 49 years marriage. She died a year and 3 weeks ago. I know she's in heaven. But I asked what did I do wrong?
The best version of Careless Whisper in my opinion. George's vocals are powerful. The iconic sax, the vibe, it's all there. And to think they performed this live, it's truly impressive.
From that iconic sax intro, utterly spine-tingling and goosebumps head to toe. Pitch-perfect vocal - superb. Hope you've found peace in a better place, George - but you are so terribly missed here 🇬🇧 💔
I ask the same question of my friend Ann Nicholson who used to sing with Leon Russel n Joe Cocker n other bands. She said lots of these groups were christians. Most of singers n groups now are freemasons n sold their soul to satan.
George had such an amazing voice. Like at Freddie’s memorial concert he was the only one that could sing Somebody To Love. While Sting and David Bowie just stood by and watched him at rehearsal. Bc no one had the vocal range that George had. He was amazing.
I totally agree with you seriously I told my about the 80s music and he said I wish I could go back with you Dad it seems it was a great time for music
Сегодня 19 марта 2024 года и я слушаю эту прекрасную песню.Джорж Майкл,красавец,талант,увы ушел в вечность,но его будем слушать и слушать,надеюсь и новые поколения станут поклонниками его творчества.
I feel so unsure As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor As the music dies, something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen And all its sad good-byes I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should've known better than to cheat a friend And waste the chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh Time can never mend The careless whispers of a good friend...NoWar... To the heart and mind Ignorance is kind There's no comfort in the truth Pain is all you'll find I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should've known better than to cheat a friend (should've known better, yeah) And waste the chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh Never without your love Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd Maybe it's better this way We'd hurt each other with the things we'd want to say We could have been so good together We could have lived this dance forever But now, who's gonna dance with me? Please stay And I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should've known better than to cheat a friend And waste the chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you, oh now that you're gone (Now that you're gone) was what I did so wrong, so wrong That you had to leave me alone? ...NoWar...
I'm watching this great video May 2024, I will always remember this wonderful man he was amazing and very, very talented we miss you George Michael RIP❤
George will always be a pioneer. His unique and soulful voice took you on a journey. He had the ability to convey a story so that the listener felt like they were on the journey with him . He fought back against the music industry that was robbing singers and musicians and won. That was history making. His personal life had a few ups and downs, but he perservered. I will never forget where i was when i heard the news of his death. I was on Christmas holiday with my children in Washington DC. Having a glass of wine while the children were laughing and playing. I cried. My heart is still broken. The world lost a talent that only comes along once on a lifetime. May his memory be eternal. 🕯️✝️🙏❤️
Absolute perfection! George in his prime. This song is a bit of an anomaly in the sense that it has proven its longevity despite its relatively simple 4 chord progression. It must be the magical combination of melody and harmony. Regardless, it will sound great 50 years from now just like it sounds great 40 years after its run on the charts. It is up there with other pop classics by the likes of the Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, etc. Thank you George for leaving behind such a rich legacy of timeless music.
Me too, Listening in April 4, 2024. This songs brings memories back into 80 where the one you loved got away 😭. George Michael Wham is my iconic and until now he still is....🔥
Summer, August 23rd, 2023, broken hearted but not for the first time and hopefully not for the last. Listening to this amazing man sing helps to heal me. Thank you George.
My heart is full when I listen to George Michael ! My all time favorite artist still hold a place for him. Even saw him in concert in LA in the 90’s 😊❤
Begin of August 1984 - first time in a disco - Eastbourne language camp - immediately felt in love with this song - still remember the feeling, the scene, the sax❤
I was into a different music scene when this came out. As I’ve gotten older I truly have come to appreciate how truly talented he truly is. That sax player is awesome also.
Definitivamente, esse cara era feito de puro talento. Sem dúvidas uma das vozes mais lindas que eu já escutei. Sem dúvidas um dos cantores mais talentosos e mais afinados que esse mundo já teve.
His last tour wrapped up in 2012 and only went around Europe and had several cancelled dates because of his already declining health. After that, he really wasn't in shape to be playing live.
This one is truly an example of his beautiful talent. Truly one of his greatest masterpieces. "Guilty feet have got no rhythm". Thanking God for your talent. #alwaysafan
