Cargolux Queen came in screaming after that hard landing! Next Queen still frowned after doing the wheelie. And The King BA looked fabulous! Wonderful shots Spotter!

I miss O'hare. Worked there in my youth when they were building United's Terminal One. Loved sitting at the American Eagle hangar and watch the landings on 14R. Those were the days. Now it's like a different airport...

You can't make a bad landing in a 747. This comment has been made by numerous 747 drivers over several decades. This landing was quite hard but you only got a quarter to a half bounce. I have seen live working at the airport and other footage of 747 landings that bounced several feet into the air. Two have been emergency landings: a Pan Am 747, the second one built in San Francisco and the Virgin 747 minus the right main wheels at Manchester, England. The 747 was over designed to take it day in, day out...

Computer programs fly these planes until the Pilot decides to take control of the aircraft. In this case, I’m blaming the Pilot for taking control of the aircraft too soon. But…This was not a hard landing. It’s click bait to lure us into watching it. It’s a revenue generator.
