I hope you marry a true counterpart from the Caribbean that has as much knowledge of self as you do. You must keep the culture and strong within your family. Bless Up!

You know, I'm not aware of CARICOM being a free trade zone. Even if it is, I think there are Caribbean countries that aren't included in it. For example, Haiti, Cuba, Dominican Rep. If you look at the Euro zone, it's very structured, both financially and politically. I don't think CARICOM is structured like them. Furthermore, the last I heard, Jamaica's court system still uses the British Privy Council as a supreme court instead of the Caribbean supreme court. In other words, CARICOM looks pretty damn weak.

Hello, I hope all is well. Very interesting point, however, I am not quite sure where the political and financial structures of CARICOM fit into this series or what was stated in this particular video. Opinions on the structure of CARICOM aside, the pure intention of this series is to shed light on Caribbean culture, heritage, and provide brief insight into the Caribbean community as a means of education and inspiring others to expand their world-view of the islands and its people. While the Caribbean has its issues, as any region of the world does (many of which stem from a historical context that has been greatly affected by colonization and political unrest) my intention for this series is not to compare the Caribbean community to any other region of the world. In honor of Caribbean American Heritage Month, my purpose is to uplift the Caribbean community. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I hope that you will watch future episodes.
