I was sceptical of carryability of the main bag with its base weight until I saw that harness system. Seems like a great bag for people who travel with sizeable luggage.
Hi Dennis, the Sky Master material has a level of water resistant thanks to the PU coating however the bag is not waterproof as rain water can over time soak in to the bag via the zip tape and sewn seams. To be made fully waterproof this bag needs a rain cover (this would have to be purchased separately) otherwise 100% waterproof bags have welded seams and roll tops like our Caribee Expedition Series or Trident 2.0 backpack.
It would be physically to big to carry for most people in both it's dimensions and potential loaded weight. 70L and 80L sizes are the sweet spot for travel backpacks in our opinion.
Spare wheels will back back available soon on the Caribee website. We have used these wheels for close to 18 years, a few people have been refreshing their old wheel bags
