Another interesting product review that is often overlook. I fail to see the the beauty as you do but as they say, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. On another note I must point out that, you are heavily invested on impressing others. I suppose we all like to make a good impression but to quality items are really for my enjoyment and can care less what people think. I hope I haven’t been to harsh with my criticism. It is only an observation. Enjoy your videos as always.

That Carl Friedrick bag has so much class it looks like the best bag I have ever seen. On my many trips to London I see so many well put together men, dress wise. Ruined by their choice of bags, the worst offender was a guy in a well made, well fitted pinstripe suit that looked like it cost a fortune, I know he was fairly well off with the AP (Possibly Royal Oak) on his wrist, yet he ruined the look with a grubby, threadbare grey and pink Mountain wearhouse backpack with a bright green Monster drink in the mesh bottle compartment, that look like it was ripping, close to losing his refreshments. Great for a day hike, just not the look he was going for, for which he was nailing.

Ash, I picked up a Barbour Leather briefcase a few years ago, still looks as good as the day it arrived. Suits me for carrying my laptop and paperwork backwards and forwards to work, lots of pockets and organisational features…. PERFECT. So good I also went back for the matching weekend bag. 😍💼

Not sure if that's how other channels do it, or they get sent watches. But would love to see some more watch reviews. Also definitely need more survival/ration pack/wood stove/outdoor stuff. You bring a military air to those videos. It's good stuff

Ash well done per the usual. Agreed that taking a "book bag" to work as we call it in the states is a miss, this bag for me doesn't work. As someone who does remote and travel for work, I need more sectioned off areas and have more equipment: head set, chargers, extra monitor, and other accessories. For a dedicated office bringing a laptop back and forth, works well.

How’s this treating you after a year of ownership? Are there any posts or videos in which you show off the aging of the bag? Also, same goes for the BB GMT there. Any longer term opinions? This is the first time I’ve watched a video where it’s visible under a cuff and not the sole focus of the video, and it looks quite elegant. A lot of people worry about the thickness, but it looks fantastic. Also, fwiw to anyone looking to buy, this briefcase really does cater to a more formal look. Dressing too casual may look off, but nobody is going to scrutinise you so much. For work recently I’ve been wearing a lot of t-shirts and jeans, and it really doesn’t go, but when I do dress up it looks worlds better. Again, I still do take the bag. Another thing to take note of, is I often use the supplied strap for comfort, as I run this briefcase fairly full, and a longer walk can begin to weigh a bit in the hand. I generally walk to office with the handle, and walk home with the strap. Also, I feel in busier areas, the strap makes it feel less bulky as it lies against your figure, as opposed to holding it down by your legs. Anyway, enjoy to anyone who buys one, I love my own!

To be honest the thing shows no sign of aging at all. The beautiful leather still has a pleasing aroma and has weathered the last year very well indeed. I am a huge fan of CF luggage and am also thinking about going for the Check-in full size suitcase after my experiences with the Carry-on. A little bit of quality and luxury when you are traveling is such a treat.

Nice looking bag. I would like to have your opinion on something maybe a bit smaller. I’m a retired law enforcement officer of thirty years. Locally I carry a phone note pad and rollerball pen which I might add is a lamy. The only thing I carry is my wallet in my front pocket and a knife with handkerchief in the other. For years I would carry a nice leather fanny pack but I feel now I have out grown that. I don’t always carry a gun except for when I maybe traveling.If you have some suggestions it would greatly be appreciated.🤔

Thank you for your service to your community sir - I shared your vocation for 23-years and understand where you are coming from. Have you considered a nice leather backback? The new models are both smart and highly functional and being leather, look very 'chap', whilst remaining more classy than the nylon versions. I'm not in any way promoting Carl Friedrik, I get nothing at all from suggesting their products, but when I researched the Palissy briefcase, I noted that they also offer a very stylish leather back pack on their website, that may be worth looking at. Whilst their kit is expensive, it is of the highest quality and there is a discount code attached to my briefcase review that may assist with the cost. Best regards

Have been seeing and hearing about this bag from a few years back on the urban gentry channel. I have to say that it is really overpriced for what it is. Tons of equally competent alternatives on the market at much more reasonable prices. In my country, one would get more or less similar stuff at probably 1/4 th of the price. Nice video though. You failed to mention even a single alternative to the briefcase in question. I find whenever people make such claims, if you do even the smallest inquire, you find these cheaper, "just as good" products are often not comparable at all. Often inferior in material, design, quality, etc. The person making the claim simply doesn't care for a better item yet feels confident downplaying the more expensive choice and establishes a false equivalence. If all you need is a corolla, a 911 would be an unnecessary expense. But you'd be an idiot to say a corolla is a comparable alternative to a 911 for a much cheaper cost.

You are most welcome to patronise the brand seeing as how you feel they are not comparable to any others at a much more reasonable price. You'd be an idiot though, to downplay the true equivalence in quality and yet seek comfort in being blinded by aggressive marketing of such brands. Don't worry - I find that many , like you, are too lazy to look around and instead prefer to revel in such brand sycophancy.

Instead you act butthurt, sad. I don't need to own this item(I don't) to point out the fallacy of your claim, get over it.

I am sorry old chap but those type of briefcase look more suitable for the ladies .There is always a balance where a chap is concerned ,one has to keep up standards without appearing more elegant than the ladies .Therefore when conducting business I shall continue to use my black attaché case .The same case was good enough for James Bond so more than suitable for my needs ,it’s bullet proof & still looking like new after some 45 years or more .

No judgement about attaché cases, but they are the equivalent of entering a place of work wearing a fedora. Nothing inherently wrong, but everyone looking at you will think “the 1960s want their fashion choice back!”
