Perhaps it's important from when I used to keep a dream diary and from reading Jung, that the unconscious doesn't appreciate being looked at directly: sometimes it want to show you things, other times its seems to deliberately reduce dream content if you don't act on what it offers and in my experience this might mean it begins to make things happen in your waking life to force you to act. The ritual and respect aspect is very important. Also, the unconscious is showing you something you don't consciously know, so beware the easiest interpretation of a dream- there should be an 'oh, damn' moment when something new hits you emotionally from the dream. Again, only my experience x

I think what you described: the unconscious not wanting to be looked at directly, at least for my own intuitive interpretation might be the unconscious challenging you to be more clever in your thinking. Especially in the west today with our over emphasis on purely rational, direct, classically observable evidence. The way we've let that approach to thinking negate our intuition and subjective experiences as "woo woo" or unimportant: the unconscious force seems to be telling us if we want to gain the insight it offers we're gonna have to rethink our approach, establish a relationship with and cultivate our intuition, our capacity for non measurable, purely experiential learning and integrate it properly. If we don't do this then I don't think individuation or exploring the unconscious is possible. Worse than that we'll continue to be limited and stuck increasingly vulnerable to psychological entropy and crisis.

I call that force the soul. It just makes the most sense to me. The label also gives me direction to explore it more. It guides through intuition and synchronicity, it isn’t bound by space or time. You Can meet it and interact with it more directly through psychedelics and dreams. The more inner work you do and getting familiar with yourself and removing blocks you have within yourself, the more directly you can interact with it and align with it. It also appears in real life in different ways, a lot of the time the synchronicity is itself an indirect way of showing itself

Man, I had a dream in which I was on top of a trailer fist fighting a SUV sized blimp that was swooping down and accosting me. Don't know about that one 😂

OMG I had a similar dream of a woman CEO. She was running this amazing place where everyone had their talents; some were bakers , some were video makers, and some didn't know what they were doing just walking around. She was kind, smart, and very interested, in talking to me in answering my questions and showing me things-things I'll never forget and always remember and go back to when things get too hard. I will buy your book, sir!"

Love this conversation! Thank you for sharing :) been working with my dreams to help overcome some chronic health issues, if I get bitten by a snake, I will be stoked! And funny I also had major synchronicities the days leading up to my first ayahuasca experience too. Definitely points to the spirit of the plant I think!

Thank you both for this wonderful and inspiring conversation. You both have a great knowledge of dreams, their potential meanings and ways to ask for guidance through dreamtime. Just last night I was having very complex but compartmentalized dreams where I kept realizing I was dreaming but asking myself why I was there in these dreams as I was aware that I was sick and should be resting to get better. (a nasty cold has had me down) I plan to write down as much as I can still remember although I'm aware it may have been more advantageous to do so earlier. I am grateful though that this series of disjointed dreams and my pondering them is what led me to this podcast and the great work you are both doing so a big thank you!! I'll be saving this to revisit and so I have all the links provided. Much respect to you two!! 🙏🏽✨💟

Interesting, what if you don't recognize the archetype in your dream? I had a dream that the queen of England was in. I really haven't had any thoughts of her, she seemed the random one in the dream.

Definitely have caught this just before bed... it's a lag that I caught it five months later and I'm especially intrigued with the channel and guests , but pretty quickly you started off calling dreams endemic of humanity. It sounded a bit of a negative shaping as like as in dis ease. It's like woah dude and that's trying not to be judgemental. ?
