Still a genius in the truest sense: taking what could be (and, especially these days, too often is) overwhelmingly complex, and making it simple. It's actually staggering when you think about how many people he's helped over the years, and all without lapsing into complications just to have something more to say every year. Same simple, brilliant message, with a few refinements and no unnecessary added complexity. It's just so rare. I remember a Golf Digest article in '92 or '93 on a study of muscle load and sequencing in top players, and what he had always said about the primacy of the lead lat was totally corroborated. I always wondered how good it must've felt for the guy to read that.
