Carl decided it was time to re-introduce the sound of the glory days of rock guitar (mid 60's to mid 80's), when some of the most popular amplifier set-ups were British Marshalls and Vox's. LOVER, LEAVER (Greta Van Fleet) - This is exactly the kind of rhythm where too much Gain would ruin it all. A good "Crunch" sometimes is what you really need. Try to boost it to the limit then and you’ll probably unveil the real potential of your amp. Don’t be afraid to use PlexiRanger as a severe booster because that’s the way the masters did it.
MR. BROWNSTONE (Guns n’ Roses) - this infamous tone is a recipe with few ingredient but wisely mixed. Use the Plexi-Channel to achieve a crunch pushed by humbuckers pickup and then use the Frequency-Boost to keep your guitar’s mid-range always always in focus. Depending on your pickups output you can tweak the Range control in order to have more o less saturation on the mid-range.
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME (Bon Jovi) - having the PlexiRanger in front of your amp is like adding two more channels to it. The versatility of this pedal goes even beyond what you see, you can use the Boosters to reach your amp’s very best sound or take advantage of the independent Boost switch to cut through the mix during the solos like in this song. Then switch off the boost during the rhythm part and taste the delicious tone of the Plexi-Channel.
