*_Isaiah 53.3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth._* _Jesus Christ loves you. @@orlandogonzalez9360 He started working on this movie right after he finished filming for Scent of a Woman. Hence the southern accent in his voice instead of latin.
Need to make the film 'Benny Blanco... From The Bronx' 25 years after Carlitos death, Benny is released from jail and looking for a way in to the new crime life in new york, still full of regret for murdering Carlito, he strives to make as much money as he can to give it to Carlitos daughter Charlie, who used to write to him whilst he was in prison. Charlie makes the mistake of going to New York to feel closer to her father not realising that the New York Mafia still has a score to settle with Carlito, she puts herself in immediate danger due to social media, Benny Blanco is now the only one who can save her, Benny is well prepared for the task he faces outside of Jail, this is his time to make amends for the death of Carlito Brigante, he is about to make the whole of New York remember.... 'BENNY BLANCO... FROM THE BRONX'
@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax yeh to entice him to meet up when he is released, she pretends to be someone else, when he is released she has gained his trust and picks him up but she can see hes a changed man, hes guilt ridden and has found god, so she sees the good in him and delays his murder
The second I read this comment I still can remember the music from the movie.. "bombey babababa bombey bombey then the trumpet comes in and the girls ask them to dance
The incredible thing is that Carlito, in this scene, talking to the audience, was really serious. I mean, he wasn't joking nor mocking them (as they obviously believed, with a legit reason for think that), he wanted really to change his life, just that the circumstances ended to say 'nope'.
the best supporting actor nominees that year .. 1- Leonardo DiCaprio whats eating gilbert grape 2- Ralph Fiennes schindlers list 3- Tommy Lee Jones the fugitive 4- John Malkovich in the line of fire 5- Pete Posthelwaite in the name of the father the best supporting actor snubs that year .. 1- Michael Keaton much ado about nothing 2- Val Kilmer tombstone 3- Christopher Lloyd twenty bucks 4- Sean Penn carlitos way 5- Denzel Washington philadelphia
@@longmemory1620 Wow.! I have always thought Val Kilmer should've won an Oscar for Tombstone. Now you've shown me who was nominated ahead of him makes me even more perplexed.
Good job that you are not the man you was 5 years ago then. If i was the same man i was 5 years ago i probably would of laughed at this and not taken it seriously. Such is life
“I was already a mean little bastard while my mother was ALIVE and I know it” My absolute favourite line in the opening scene and I think some can relate to that I know I can and my mother is still with me
Carlito's mistake was returning to his old crime infested neighborhood for a new beginning and thus got sucked right back into the crime life that he tried his best to avoid and ultimately, paid the price with his life
They did it was a prequel called Carlitos Way Rise To Power which was direct to video release and starred Jay Hernandez instead of Al Pacino as Carlito. The only actor from the original to return in prequel was Luis Guzman.
When I first saw this movie I remember thinking this is a great throwback to the gangster movies of years gone bye, now when I watch this I think "they don't make them like that anymore" .... a true masterpiece.

Carlito was a deep character. He knew he was a criminal he lived by that code. But this time...the legal system fucked up, and he was gloating about it 🤣! And by doing this he is trolling the legal process.
@@tacticalcrusader3709 no I didn't. Carlito knew he was a street dude. That whole "allegedly" stunt showed that he just knew the system. He was too deep into the game, a damn legend. Of course the streets were gonna pull him back in.
There are actors who directors call first for a role I'm happy to say Mr. Sam jackson,There are actors who are more chameleon like,Mr. Robert De Niro,Most respected BRANDO,More recognizable in linguistic narration while Acting Freeman,Denzel Washington But NO body,no one does it totally like AL Pacino, truly gifted Actor-Thespian.
Lesson #1: Once you've beaten the State or got that break, express thanks & walk away. Just like in sports, no one likes show off winners. Especially those who rub it in. Judges don't like giving out passes & DAs have long memories.

Five years and look at me! ..completely Rehabilitated, Reinvigorated, Reassimilated and finally going to be Relocated. I like the way he says those things.
I thought Pacino got off to a great start with this scene but ultimately he looked stereotyped and even a little wooden compared to the Sean Penn masterclass in character acting. A great movie.
Pacino apparently had some issues with the script such as why would Carlito waste time seeing Kleinfeld in the hospital and i think this made his performance uneven in some points. Penn on the other hand mainly took the role to produce another movie and to work with Pacino and still was amazing. People forgot how much Penn has been a real pro and how consistent he was in good roles over many years.
