@@z1az285 irrelevant, my gratitude has nothing to do with whether it is a 3-minute or 11 minute or 25 minute highlight, tennis is not like soccer or badminton. There's a reason why spectators are asked to be quiet during the game. That's just the kind of sport that it is.
U no need to bring out the hindi commentary for every other sports...It suits cricket thats okay...but not any other sports specially tennis ... Commenting is an art not irritating like this hindi commentators
Every once in a while I see a shot on a post-game video that seems clearly at odds with the declared result. Carlos breaks at 21:56, as the crosscourt shot from Meddy is ruled to have overshot the end line, and Carlos, who is looking right down on it, also reacts as if it is clearly out. Yet I have replayed it about 20 times, and even managed to freeze it a number of times as the ball hits the ground, and to my eye it seems like the ball not only lands within the outside edge of the line, but within the inside edge! Does anyone out there see the same thing?
I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at tennis tournaments is not even childish... it is embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.
Who thought of putting Hindi commentators on Wimbledon? Exclusive Hindi speakers don't watch tennis. And there is a considerable non Hindi speaking population in India, especially in the South who not only watch but play tennis. What is this bhaiyafication of Star Sports. I had to watch the highlights in mute to save myself from this uncouth verbal abuse. Frankly this type of crap doesn't go with tennis for heaven's sake. What next? Formula 1 commentry in Bhojpuri? I wouldn't have minded that if Yogi would let the race return at Buddha Circuit. But no, it's not sport, eh? Who was that, the older Yadav, isn't it? Pathetic.
