No, il problema di Alcaraz è che ogni tanto perde la concentrazione. Mah! Io aggiungerei meno male se no sarebbe destinato a vincere tutti i tornei. Troppo forte sia fisicamente che come talento.
@@Jeremy-f3snot really . Alcaraz had the worst match of his career and monfils got beat by a mediocre player in next round There's a reason monfils has never won a grand slam
@@mason1011 "monfils got beat by a mediocre player in next round"... he literally lost in 3 to holger rune, one of the best hard court players in the world LMFAO. alcaraz lost fair and square, got outmatched by monfils; stop with the excuses
I like Carlos but he would barely be a top 10 player in the Big 3 era. Imagine him trying to beat prime Del Potro, Murray, Ferrer. He’d be in the mix but never a great
i like how this angle really shows the pace of the ball a lot better. i prefer this angle a lot more compared to the typical one. also i think the commentators are so unnecessary and annoying so this video is pretty good😭
@@gryfenfer1037 "If a finished guy like novak can beat alcaraz I van do it too" - you really think you van? That finished guy is the GOAT and he'll send you to finishing school.
It's not rlly up to them, they just get access to the footage that the organization makes. Totally depends on if the tournament wants to have a court level camera.
@@mouvement784 Yep, it's awful. You can't clearly see where the ball is landing on the other side of the court due to the low angle, especially the shots that are landing close to the baseline. With the higher angle, you can see everything
Yeah this was strange to watch. Close to 100% of his forehands finishing over his head instead of out in front. He just couldn't quite track the ball, and was slightly mis-spacing the contact point every shot.
Worst Alcaraz match in some time. Completely out mentally, and it's the first time he breaks a racket in his career. Obviously losing the final in the olympics has affected him more than what we thought, and he will have to do a reset if he wants to compete at his best in the Us Open
it's more than that. he put unnecessary pressure on himself by stating he wanted to finish as YE NO.1. Completely unnecessary.howevdr this loss will force him to resssess his priorities and the good thing is he will practice more to be ready for the USO
Ferrero is wasting his talent. I can strress it out more. He is fucking wasting his talent. Alcaraz's first year or so was amazing, very agressive, tons of winners. Yes, also tons fo unforced errors. But why Ferrero didn't focus on Alcaraz's strenght's instead of focussing on making him more defessive? I think it is really a waste of talent. Imagine if someone had tell Federer "no, you can't play like that, too much risk, better to stay behind the baseline and wait like if you were fucking Rafa Nadal". That would be the worst advice ever. Well, that is what is happening with Alcaraz. So much talent, so much agressive playing being totally cut off. Fucking shame, fucking Ferrero. Djokovick wouldn't have stand any chance if Carlos would have played agressive, like two years ago. He is young, but I have little hope for him. And yes, I know he has won 4 GS.
What about practicing that beautiful thing called “giving the opponent credit”. Monfils has been improving his shots, getting faster and more precise. Plus he’s always been quick on the feet and a fighter.
@@EldrickTW first of all he has won 2 slams this year so what are you talking about. Second of all we all know Alcaraz became number 1 because Djokovic was banned from playing half the tournaments that year, so what are you really talking about. Thirdly you are saying that if Alcaraz was playing in an imaginary way you've made up in your head then Djokovic wouldn't stand a chance if Carlos played aggressive when the reality is Carlos has played aggressive against Novak in the past and still lost. They have played eachother 7 times already and Djokovic leads that h2h 4-3. So what on earth are you talking about?
i have been a fan of his for a long time but damn he can frustrate his fans. He had Djokovic on the ropes quite a few times only to let him get away. Glad that he did not do that with Alcaraz.
@@SFO14 we'll see what happens. Everyone counted out Djokovic winning gold and yet I figured he was finally gonna win gold cause he hadn't won a tournment at all prior to Olympics. Anything can happen tbh
@@m4sterbr0sDjokovic was so close to losing the gold lol. He won’t win any other this year to be honest as long as other top seed players are fit and healthy
I can understand all the comments about Alcaraz “weak” performance but… What about practicing that beautiful thing called “giving the opponent credit”. Monfils has been improving his shots, getting faster and more precise. Plus he’s always been quick on the feet and a fighter.
Let Alone Even showing the clip, if this was Djokovic we would already have a stand Alone clip of the raquet smash for sure while the Match was still playing...
Well. You are forgetting Nole is 37 and he has constantly been doing that up until recent. Alcaraz is just 21. Even Federer with all his class and elegance was breaking racquets into his 20s. And so what?
Not very sportsmanlike for Alcaraz to say it was the worst he’s ever played instead of congratulating Monfils for simply playing better. Just my opinion.
I agree. Monfils is always so gracious. You can teach tennis, but not class. Guess they were absent that day. Rafa and Iga are the same when they doesn't win.
Dude. It's the other way round. Novak knows how to enter Charlie's head... Like he messed up Carlos in last year's cincinatti. He wasn't the same ever since until Indian wells this year. This year, Novak messed Carlos in olympics. La monf and few others will reap easy wins courtesy THE GOAT. 🙏
That's what a good whooping does to you. Anyone with real class is gracious in defeat. When he destroyed his racquet he was probably thinking " I CAN'T HAVE THIS OLD TIMER BEAT ME".
@@PythonicMindset Novak 19-0 vs. Gael in the pros. Incredible. I think Gael might have beaten him in juniors. If you want to look at incredible stats look at Novak's record vs. the top 10. That is what makes him the GOAT, he dominates the best.
I think he plays more for pleasure than for glory, as you say he does not use his 100% energy, only about 50 to 70% most of the time, if he had played at full power always he would have got some G Slams.
A classic chicken before the egg situation. Was Monfils able to execute such tactical brilliance because Alcaraz was off his game, or was Alcaraz off his game because of Monfils' tactical brilliance? In any event, an incredible demonstration of how a wise old master can defeat a young flamethrower. Congratulations Gael - you absolutely rock!
It's Monfils' bad luck that he was born in the hardest generation in history, otherwise he could win at least a GS and a few Masters 1000. It's a shame that he ends his career without even a Masters 1000.
He was also a show boat during most of his early tennis career, always trying and executing those beautiful and fantastic shots that impresses the spectators but not winning matches.
The Olympics loss, which was another heartbreaking loss, has sent Alcaraz spiralling again! He needs to learn how to deal with difficult losses, that's one of his other rare weaknesses that he needs to overcome if he is to become one of the all-time greats. On the other hand, Monfils is showing us that he's still got his best stuff at age 37 which is truly unreal. He could've become a slam winner if he was more tactically sound in his earlier years, but he's trying to make up for it now in his late 30s. Great stuff. In his first two rounds, he has beaten last week's Montreal Masters 1000 champion, and now he's beaten RG and Wimbledon champion. That's just the first two rounds, which is brutal but he did it! It's a shame he'll likely not win a slam but he at least deserves one Masters 1000 trophy. If he stays healthy and maintains his stamina carefully, he may well have another opportunity to finally break the Masters title drought this week! Let's not forget that he had chances to defeat Sinner in the last two meetings recently too.
I think the biggest stumbling block for Alcaraz currently is that he doesn't really know where he is mentally, but habitually likes to put on a brave smily face - even though psychologically he is all over the place! 😙 Furthermore, Carlos has so many shot options >> ways of playing, that unless he either allows himself to play instinctively, or focusses fully on a clearly defined game plan....he tends to "lose the plot" quite easily, as well as get fixated on playing for the gallery....instead of simply playing each point > game > set > match on it's merits with full concentration >> intensity >> authority!! Carlos looks as though his mind has been partly elsewhere since winning Wimbledon in such unprecedentedly imperious fashion....but then talent isn't everything!!....It how one is able to harness this talent to the highest degree >> consistently which determines what one is able to achieve!!...OK, so Carlos is only 21....even so, he does still exhibit a great deal of naivety > immaturity!....If you ask me...I'd say that his coaching & advisory team need to work hardest upon his mindset, because if being most successful at Top Level Tennis is 80% mental, then Carlos still has HUGE improvements to make in this area if he wants to become anything like as accomplished or even better a Tennis player than Nole!
He made semis in 2023 US Open, China and Year end champs losing to Medvedev, Sinner and Djokovic. How is that couldn't recover for half a year? Or he was supposed to beat them all?
❗ Djokovic's monumental win in the olympic final crushed Alcaraz's confidence. In addition Alcaraz feels more pressure to perform well. This is a deadly mixture that has produced this loss.
I think it's more of a fact that he plays too much tennis. He said it last year that he didn't manage the energy levels well for the last part of the season. Let's watch for the rest of the year and see if he learned anything from last year
Maybe later. It is only 3 mins highlight video of court view and you want to waste time on a racket smash in court view instead of points? What kind of tennis fans would you be?
great respect to old soldier Monfils. This central court at Cincinnati had probably the fastest surface in tournaments. The new generation cannot handle it as well as their uncles😢
Nah you can actually gauge ball height, spin, ball speed, and player movement/ speed around the court, all better. People who play tennis appreciate seeing this angle, even if only every once in a while
The worst part about the court-level view is you have NO clue what is going on on the far side of the court - neither the player nor the court or the ball where it lands. Please never use this view. It's just irritating!
Djokovic never lost against Monfils.. it’s 19-0 And prime Carlitos… 😢 Congrats Monfils, really like that guy!! Carlitos, i‘m sorry.. maybe it will be better in 2030
❗ "I'll be back stronger.", those were the last words of Alcaraz's speech after losing the Cincinnati final against Djokovic last year. Good for him that he didn't say the year.
Can't wait to see when they upload the official video of Alcaraz breaking his racket, I mean, they always did it with Novak, I don't see why they don't do it with Alcaraz...
