It would be awesome if you guys would alternate between guest episodes and one's like this. I would love to hear fancy breakdown his favorite movies!!!
Fancy's intro at the movie theater had me in tears 😭😂😅 There's just something about that accent that kills me - I can fully understand what he says but I notice it's delayed because I'm thinking "Oh...wtf he was saying THAT word? I've literally never heard those sounds in that order before"
Such a great episode. I had no idea Carlos was this knowledgeable. Fancy and Carlos with an incredible conversation about film, give us more of this! Jurassic Park is so iconic too. Great choice!
Guys I know this is a long shot but I live here in Rochester, I’d love to meet you two especially when you come here tomorrow. You guys are huge inspirations, can’t wait to see y’all tomorrow!
Actors aren't just unimpressed by green screen anymore, they've become apathetic about it. All the Marvels of the last years have no single soul in them no matter who the actors are. It always feel like they are doing rehearsals and never the real take anymore. Which is normal because even half their costumes are digital and the whole room where they perform are green panels instead of a set. Actors can't get into their role anymore and I can't find a way to dispend my disbelief anymore. If anything positive ever comes from this Marvel plague, let's hope it's the end of green screen.
I didn’t know Carlos was this deep into the craft of movies, but it does make sense as he is a producer. Fancy brings out a whole different, artistic and beautiful side of his guests out.
Hearing these two completely nerd out about JP makes my heart so full! Refreshing to see them dive deep in a pod instead of just giggle in the background of Bad Friends.
This genuinely was one of the best episodes - Carlos had great points/references/memories and it meshed so damn well with Andres's amazing film knowledge Seriously I learned so much about Spielberg's film style and his motifs that make his films so timeless from this episode. Absolutely amazing stuff Fancy!!! 🎉🤙🙌
I didn’t get to hear Fancy say “SOS VHS” at the beginning!! I absolutely love hearing the way he pronounces those two words together haha brings me much joy.
Fancy, I don't know if it's because you're speaking with Carlos, but it sounds like you're speaking much faster and more confidently. Movie buffs should watch this pod! I love that Sos is finding its groove. Carlos, I know you have a persona on bad friends and other pods, but I loved watching you on here!! Great episode!❤
So great the Bad Friends universe is growing! Can Carlos do a show??? We can follow him around LA to his favorite massage parlors, milking table houses, and glory holes!!! Creeping’ with Carlos!
I don't think Fancy and Carlos were talking about the same Pinocchio lol It sounded like Carlos was talking about the Disney Remake and Fancy the Guillermo Del Toro one
It's very very entertaining to see you three vibe together without being under totalitarian rule of the red and yellow dictators. I've enjoyed this pod very very much, much love to you all
Love the pod, Fancy. Don't know if you'll read this, but just wanted to give a little tip from one fancy to another. I've heard you say "talk abouten" a few times and I just realized why. In your native tongue you'd say "hablo de/hablamos de," and you know not to say "talken about," so you trip it up in conversation, which is completely understandable. Your english is much better than my spanish. But what I would probably go with is "I've/we've spoken about." It might take a while to train your brain, but just wanted to throw that out there. Hope you don't take offense, because I'm a fan and a bretheren. Keep the pods coming. ¡Hasta luego!
The promo campaign for Jurassic Park was one of the greatest of all-time. They didn't release a frame of dinosaur footage in any trailer or photo until the movie was officially in theaters. All the build-up promo was simply the iconic puddle tremor, and that's it. Unless you read the book (which the vast majority of people surely hadn't) you weren't really certain what the movie was even about, but you knew it was a must-see. Those choices added so much to the magic of this release. Hasn't happened since. Now trailers spoil everything. It's a damn shame.
Can I be on your show? My favorite movie is Wayne's World. I'm launching my new podcast called "I Podcast Where You Vacation" centered in North Lake Tahoe
Seeing this for the first time at 5 years old, I was completely astounded at how real everything seemed. I had never seen anything like it. I struggle to think of anything that has come out and been so incredibly groundbreaking for its time since. Edit: maybe LoTR.
carlos is a good fallback on being overloaded with having to book guests. i totally clicked knowing he was the co-host. im sure he is insteresing and in my opinion a cooler version of esther, they kinda the same lol. S/o to houston baby
I love this side of Carlos!!! Real film nerd, I'm learning a lot about films. One reason I love Bobby and Andrew is their insights when they're doing movies/TV shows.
It is insane this show doesn't have more likes and subscribers... I absolutely LOVE these discussions/format. You guys have great info and takes on some of my favorite movies!
Does everyone else imagine what movie they would do if they got a chance? Comment the answer since we will never get to L.A. or meet fancy😁😪 I'll start "Dead man" Johnny Depp
Another great one. The icing on the cake would have been if started this episode with the CBS special presentation intro. I think it brought kids everywhere anticipation right before that Christmas movie special 😗🤌. You knew what was going to air was going to be special.
One of my favorites, I saw a first run blu-ray I think it broke down there. I hope they fixed it with successive releases. But yes, Spielberg picked his spots like he did with Jaws. I saw Jaws for the first time a few years back I still think it holds up.
This was awesome, I have a new appreciation for Fancy and Carlos. I've never been that interested in cinema, but I really enjoyed this. Will keep listening👍🏽
Guys this should be the format every other episode or like once a month - all of the guest episodes are very skippable because they’re all on podcast autopilot mode where they’re just sharing and doing all of the bits they’ve done hundreds of times. This was a very fun conversation, way more engaging than the other two shows you guys produce.
1993 was an insane year for movies, check out the list! Would be cool to get an episode where they talk through all the movies/directors from an important year
My next door neighbour's mum took me and her son to see Jurassic Park at the cinema when we were 9-10 years old. It was my first ever time seeing a movie on a giant screen. It absolutely traumatised me.
Also Wesley Snipes in blade are the true reasons why MCU even exists screw the first Iron Man blade is the true reason blade was the movie where they're like damn we can make millions of dollars off of Marvel comics
Jurassic Park is an amazing movie it's an amazing film series it's just disappointing that some of the other movies that came after the first one got pretty bad ratings but I also don't really go by the ratings you see on the internet especially like rotten tomatoes I have always known they were bias and a lot of them were paid to talk s*** but now that report just came out about how they are have been caught writing bad reviews on movies because they were getting paid to do so
Steven Spielberg is still extremely talented. But he’s out of touch and hasn’t made anything relevant in years. His movies all have the same formula now.
jurassic park is one of my fav books/movies, this was my fav episode for that reason! love that fancy chose to talk about this movie. also loved carlos take on it as well, and skeleton too haha. great ep!!!
The sunroof glass was not supposed to break into 2 pieces when the t Rex busted through it. The kids screaming is a real reaction to the glass breaking.
The opening scene of this movie with raptors terrfied me so much. I use to hide under a blanket or close my eyes an cover my ears. I could watch the rest of the movie no problem tho.
