Ito tunay na bayani at Filipino, Tiniis niya hirap ng training, malayo sa pamilya, he almost quit but the determination still lives in his heart just to give us victory. I watched 50 minutes RU-vid video about Carlos and his coach. Yes , hard work and training are necessary to become a world class gymnast but he conquered his fear and shyness himself. Gymnastics don't have a opponent and nobody won't attack you. only one enemy is yourself and you must overcome yourself to win the games. Congratulations!!!!!!

His coach and him could be one of the best stories in history of gymnastics.. Imagine a coach who had a dream to be a world champion but because of injuries he failed it. Meeting Carlos Yulo and decide to take him to Japan to have a proper training. Shoulder all Yulo's expenses in Japan and even his study his coach applied him to be a special student in Japan.. Now a world champion and an Olympian in Japan Olympics 2020 and possible to be a gold medalist.. I hope that this story will make a big screen what a nice story for them both.

In his interview, he stated that training in Japan was very difficult and that he almost quit. Well, a REAL training to become world class or becoming world class top athlete should be that way. Mediocre training like the ones here in the Philippines does not produce world top athletes. Take note Pinoy trainers and athletes. Training should be hard like the one he went to in Japan. Kudos to his coach and him the athlete. Philippines must train its athletes like the ones in Japan to produce Olympic bound athletes. Again, it’s all about real hard training and one’s determination not to quit is the way to go and become successful in on all we do including sports. This is FYI for everyone and young ones who want to follow his footsteps. Training to become world class athletes in the Philippines is doable with everyone’s support.

To be honest, if we didn’t fight Japanese in WW2, we should probably be a Japanese Commonwealth Nation. We probably inherited the discipline that Japanese have!
