The size of the caverns was mind blowing to us. Huge. More than what we expected. A must for anyone visiting New Mexico.

I love this place, and unless you are a marathon runner or triathlete, do not attempt to walk out from the bottom. Take the hit, drop your man card, and ride the elevator up. I’ve been there 4x and ya, ride the elevator up.

I was stationed in Germany during the early 80s. Ohh was I embarrassed!! The European citizen was much more healthy than my fellow Americans due to the price of gasoline. I kept the concept of staying healthy after I left the service. I still can hike up and down Carlsbad caverns no problem at all. I'm fact this old geezer can still hike up la Luz trail on Sandia mountain in Albuquerque NM.

Good video but I sure wish the kid would stay behind the camera so we could better see the trail ahead.
