The iconic home run leading off the 12th inning of the sixth game of the 1975 World Series at Fenway Park.
I was 15 years old and paid $6 for a standing room ticket. I attended with my friends Scott Boyson and Mike Marashio. We were 15 so of course we jumped off the dugout and ran out on the field when the game ended. I'm pretty sure in this clip from Ken Burns' Baseball documentary.
Maybe the greatest game in World Series history, and we were there ON the field. The first box at about 2:14 outlines (I think) Mike Marashio. He is wearing a tan colored jacket. He chased Fisk right off home plate. Just after that at about 2:18 I think I see a cop grabbing me by the jacket and tossing me aside. Like Forrest Gump, we were there in the crowd as history was happening.
