I totally relate to the male portion of this song....... I literally lived and, in some retrospect, I'm still living it. It has been just over a year since my breakup, and I still place soul blame on her. Not only what led to the breakup, but what happened to me after it. It's been a difficult journey moving on but I'm slowly getting over her.
This is exactly how I feel right now. She told me to be just friends and after strong 10 months, she just sets it aside and carries on without me. The sad part about this is which you have been confident to say those words has she not fallen in love with someone else? He dragged this poor man while she fell in love with someone else before she ended it with him. And that's what gives her the confidence to say "i hopebyoure happy now" because shes not alone...sad aad reality.
Basically, she got famous, cheated on her boyfriend with another famous person and dumped him. Then married the other guy. The best part? The new "perfect" husband gave her a dose of her own medicine and cheated on her, repeatedly, less than a year after the wedding. You know, you don't often see karma actually coming for bad people, but when you do... it's so satisfying.
