My poodle used to have energy like this. When he got to age 10ish, he could still run pretty hyper but not like he used to. He would get tired then want to go back inside.

@@richsackett3423 what the hell are you talking about. I volunteer at an animal shelter and have dogs who were rescued from scumbag owners. All I was saying was that dogs who are forced into these shows are usually abused.

I grew up with a standard poodle. He was one year older than me, so according to my mom I had to listen to him. 😀 I’m from the Netherlands, and here we call them king poodles. When I was married, we adopted a rescue mini poodle, Perry. He had some trauma, that resulted in that he didn’t want to be touched. But he was so much fun. I lived in a Dutch living street, with a lot of children. The children all knew that “you cannot pet him, but he loves it when you speak with him”. When he died, the children came to say farewell to him. And a 4 your old girl cried: “now we can finally pet him” Funny detail, i also had 5 oriental cats, a breed that is very cuddly. But Perry didn’t want to be part of that. One of the cats had the same thought as the girl and cuddled up against him a couple of times. (That’s why I always leave the body 24 hours, for the other animals to understand what happened. Was a very good advice from my vet)
