Mrs. Carly Simon is a true singer even at the age that she is close to 80. A true example for other singers who are barely approaching seventy and have lost their voice. Music sung naturally is an art But Carly not only sings very well but is an exceptional musical creator of true musical hits. When I was very, very young, and heard this song, on the radio, the melody always made me cry, because it was so beautiful; now that I have been fortunate enough, to hear it sung, by the exquisite vocals, of Carly Simon, it conjures up all of my memories of this song, and her incredible rendition of this piece of music, and I find myself, playing it over, and over, again. I thank you, Carly, for this memory, which will never end. Additional props to the fabulous orchestra; especially the incredible sax (my favorite), and clarinet! I thank you, Carly, for your music.

I love listening to this so romantic song over and over and Carly is so enchantingly wonderful. Her style and grace and voice are so evocative, timeless and lovely. This video is hypnotizing and so professionally done with the editing and the dancing couples in period and the fine orchestral arrangement. It is perfection. Carly is now my favorite singer.

What a class act to one of many classics from the 40’s! So much awesome music from The Greatest Generation! My parents are of that generation and have passed on but have left me and my siblings great memories and a legacy of an appreciation of many genres of music. I picture them dancing to this and many other greats. A little bittersweet for me now but a fond memory none the less. They loved to dance and were pretty smooth on the floor! Thank you Carly for the class act! Great song and beautiful lyrics! What a fond memory for the musicians to be honored to play with you! I played in the Marine Band and we always opened our concert with a couple of Glenn Miller songs for my Commanding General who was a WW 2 Veteran as well as my father and many Uncles. This music evokes a lot of memories for me. Kudos to all those who make beautiful music and memories! Blessings to you all!

Somewhere..... Major Glenn Miller and 'da Boyz are giving Carly a standing ovation. And no one deserves it more. Imagine this : that she could have been the vocalist when Glenn introduced this at the Glen Island Casino ( "Just off the Shore Road, in New Rochelle, New York" ) when they opened there that amazing night in 1939! The applause would still be reverberating.

Carly Simon is wonderfully talented. Beautiful, fun , & classy. Love that she sang this Glen Miller tune. Ran into her once in a pharmacy at Martha's Vineyard, where my husband asked her where he could find a recording she sang about Martha's Vineyard. "You mean this one?" Carly asked him. And she sang some of it, right there in the store to him. Such a kind & classy thing to do. I still can't get over it.
