FYI Millions 'wanted' to go in 1897. Only about 100,000 actually left for Dawson City. Of those, only about 40,000 ever made it anywhere near Dawson city. Most of the Territory hasn't had anyone walk on it since some native guy or gal a few hundred years ago. They had their usual routes too (including the White Pass and Chilcoot used to trade with coastal tribes).. but even in ancient times there are places rarely seen by anybody except once in every few generations.
