he doesn't fundamentally but he has some of the best style and flow to his game...i remember young melo's two handed dunks had the best style i've seen, they were so quick yet rim rocking at the same time, hard to describe.
Facts Me Too I Even Took Some Of His Moves And Incorporate Into My Game When I Play Ball Too Especially When He Shoots Them Turn Around Left & Right Shoulder In The Post Man It's True When They Say It's Hard To Block That Shot I Also Learn How To Shoot The One Legged Jumpshot That Dirk Is Known For And Also Seen Melo In His Later Stages In His Career Develop That One Legged Post Shot 💯💯💯
Man’s pull-up/hesi game are one of the best in NBA history. NO ONE can deny that. He was also a solid rebounder and had great post moves. Dude was just a walking bucket ever since he was at Oak Hill. He did however take a lot of plays off on defense, and was selfish on the offensive end more than he should have been. He will still be one of my favorite players ever though, no matter what…Must see TV in his prime. First ballot HoF no ?
When it comes TOTAL SCORING SKILLSETS among the SF's, KD, Bird, and Melo have the top three of all time in my opinion. But I think Melo is the BEST BLEND of physicality and scoring skill EVER among the SF's! He could bully ball you as good as any SF ever. AND had the tremendous scoring skillset to go with it.
@@ronartest8638 I was talking about SFs. Kobe was an SG. And when it comes to SG, Kobe is the most skilled scorer ever. MJ was a better scorer than Kobe. BUT Kobe has MORE in his bag to dominate scoring than all the other SGs!
I can say melo had great balance with his shot. There was never a time his feet were apart from one another. Everything was up and down with his shot. That’s tremendous balance and great form of shooting.
Too bad he never won a chip. He never really had a good shot with other teams (maybe Denver) but he needed a great big or PG to play with. Still amazing
His jab is the best in history. No one has ever jabbed like Melo, that was literally his signature move. Those two were better overall, but that perimeter play of Melo is right up there with the GOAT(s).
@@KiNGMe21 i feel u, it’s all subjective anyways but to me mj and kobe could jab left or right and had more jab step options, especially mj because he was such a threat to drive. Honorable mentions are a.i and t mac,
@@multiplepassions3694 Fair enough point. They were a bit more versatile with it but I think Melo's was the most effective. Like you said, it's all subjective.
too bad his ego got the best of him, one of my fav players. His offense just doesn't work because he takes too long to shoot while everyone stands still. Late in his career anyways.
I hated watching him play because he lost more than he won playing ISO ball instead of winning basketball. Dont adk me ask George Carl. They need to show highlights of all the shots he missed.
He’s a forward bruh, all he needs is a quick 1st step and/or a jumper. The post up, triple threat, and infamous jab steps are the icing on the cake. He ain’t win a chip cuz he’s greedy and went to the Knicks.
