I've had this song in my head for two days now and when I finally found it, I looked for someone who's played this in piano and I'm so glad I found your video! You played it amazingly! I think the composer would've been proud of you! Keep up the good work 😁!!
0:00 - 0:29 represents the general Spanish scenery, ancient architecture, amphitheatre, plaza, the Sun, heat, wines, bustling crowd, people moving in different directions, screaming, laughing etc. 0:29 - 0:44 represents the feminine and at the same time free and passionate beauty and cocketiness of Carmen, also some kind of regret (00:35) that this beauty must be taken by the merciless fate. But the author tells us that the tragedy is still early and switches us back to the first cheerful theme. 1:00 - represents grace, elegance and valliance of a Spanish caballero (not mentioning torrero on purpose because corrida is disgusting). 1:40 is the peak of the confidence bravery, glory and prosperity, fueled by passion and love. This makes me imagine the view of whole city heated by the sun and full of happy bustling crowd. The only thing that I don't like in this magnificent performance is this moment, that should be played in octaves in both hands (b-c-d) to show the power of the spirit and fierce southern temperament. And the final part of the overture that is not played here represents the upcoming merciless and gloomy tragedy hiding behind this cheerful notes.
Achei muito bom. Bravos, bravissimo. É bom que o pessoal vá têm do conhecimento da capacidade pisnistica do.nosso querido Reginaldo: pianista brasileiro que é fenômeno no Reino musical. Parabéns e que seu lugar no Universo seja sempre abençoado.
You're playing with such clarity, I love your videos! I wish you could share a bit more about yourself, maybe it's your choice not to but I would like to know what you do, how you practice or what you've learnt during your music career
The great Bizet died 2 years after this composition. He was only 36. What music he would have left if he had lived another 30 years. He was a true french patriot.
