Carnage on Main Street - The Story of The Wendy's Massacre

In May of 2000, five innocent employees at a Flushing, Queens Wendy's were slain in cold blood because of a personal gripe an ex employee had with his former manager. This calculated and cold act would change the lives on many forever. My heart goes out to all of the families affected by what happened that night. May all of the individuals who lost their lives always rest in peace. Thank you to the two survivors who had the courage and strength to tell their stories in court, and get justice for their co-workers and friends. You aren't forgotten.

(For all you simps that keep @ me... When this news broke the victims were not apprehended right away so people that had loved ones working in fast food were extremely worried including my mother. This particular story made the news but murders and robberies in fast food restaurants in New York are not isolated incidents. For your fake concern, yes my sister quit. Because we did not live in the borough of my sister's employment what did not happen was my mother walking to the establishment to make her do so; the trains were faster 🙃)

I remembered that horrific story. PIX11's Mary Murphy did a coverage on that incident. I never knew that a Wendy's was there until the 2020 coverage. All this time, passing on Main St on the Q44 route, it was a Chinese mall until two fires broke out, causing the space to be vacant. My heart goes out to the victims and survivors. They did not deserve what happened to them. If New York did not abolish the death penalty in 2007, John Taylor would've been unalived by now. The fact that he is still breathing is an insult to the families of the innocent people he and his low IQ partner in crime slayed. This has got to be one of the worst crimes to ever happen in NYC apart from the College Point apartment, the Bronx shoestore, 645 Prospect Av, and West Harlem massacres Thank you, Jose for bring these stories to light because not everyone knows about our city's dark past.

One of the best true crime channels I’ve ever found on RU-vid was Caylie Elise…your channel reminds me so much of hers! Very well thought out, respectful of all involved and extremely informative! I love it! Is that Robert Stack on your shirt??

It’s so odd as a kid growing up in NYC #Gunhill we joked about how they placed Pennie’s over the eyes of the dead to keep eyes closed, having no idea we were only passing down stories we had not yet known to be true. Thank you for the video 💯💯💯🙌🏾

You should look into the parkchester Bronx family that got slaughtered back in March of 2000. Not sure if it was covered by many but there’s multiple news papers about it.

I remember this. I was 13 at the time. I remember being at my grandmother’s house and we saw this on the news. I never understood then and at 36 still don’t understand now. What was the reason? This was senseless! R.I.P. to the victims 🙏🏿

Thank you for giving voice to the legacies of these four beautiful Saints and for honoring and preserving their dignity and humanity. All too often, the details surrounding the lives of those who perish in such senseless tragedies as the Wendy's Massacre get buried right along with their bodies and, sadly, their memories, as well. You not only make sure their tragic stories are told and never forgotten, but you make sure their dreams, joys, hopes, passions, and achievements are also told and never forgotten. I am very grateful to you for that. That is what distinguishes you as a true griot from a mere storyteller. Also, thank you for taking the time to provide us with the fascinating history and backdrop of the story. Your impeccable dedicated commitment to researching and documenting the historical framework from which each story originates is greatly appreciated.

I will never forget this. I was working in McDonald's in flushing at the time. I remember I was so scared to go to work when this happened. I ended up leaving McDonald's and got a job in Manndee in Astoria. I listen to so many different crime stories on RU-vid and always wondered why no one covered this story cause it is something I will NEVER EVER FORGET. May they rest in peace.

You always speak of the victims with compassion & respect. U tell us about their lives, the impact of their loss on their families and community, & how unfair and unnecessary their deaths were. You give them a dignity the newspaper headlines don't!! I appreciate that. Thank you. Btw, I'm really jealous of that Robert Stack t-shirt!!!😃

I'm so grateful that I found your channel. I wasn't a history fan in school but hearing the TRUE history of the US is necessary. Our history is frightfully evil at times and what's scary is today is that not much has changed in what the everyday people have to do to survive. To all those who have lost their life while trying to take care of someone or something may they RIP.
