Carnaval 2023 in Ouro Preto, Brazil 

To escape the huge crowds and high prices of Rio de Janeiro, Tikoo celebrated his first Carnaval in the small, but beautiful town of Ouro Preto. Here he could celebrate a more authentic Carnaval with the bands and parties on the streets, instead of paying the high prices of the more commercialized events in Rio, where it's super touristy, taking advantage of foreign visitors.
Here is just a small sample of the many events that took place during this week long holiday. Lots of music, costumes, energy, beauty, and joy. It's a huge party! But it can be exhausting to keep up with it all. Yet Carnaval in Brazil is an experience everyone should have once in his/her life.
