I tried this recipe last weekend. I told my girlfriend I was going to make Carne Asada soup. She wasn't not too excited about me making soup but when it came time to eat she was blown away. She's now asked me to make this for Christmas when our families will be in town. This is definitely one of my favorite recipes and everyone should try it.
Wow, love that Finex.......I live close by to S Pittsburg, TN and I get all my cast iron off the seconds rack at the factory store.......i go about twice a year......the store clerk said all the employees buy the seconds
This would be considered ‘guisado’ in Spanish, a stew. There’s actually plenty restaurants in Mexico that do this type of cooking and serve it with tortillas. Hence the term; Tacos de Guisado. I do this with leftovers. Any sort of meat or bird that’s leftovers, I stew it up and eat it with tortillas. Gotta try this receta…🙌🏽
Got a ton of shit from my bro in law about not marinating the Carne asada in spices and juice. The cattlemen's trail dust seemed odd but by the end... it's perfect. Literally I'd trust Tom to watch my kids and drive my car.
That looks DELICIOUS!!! What a job you have, you make it look so easy I tell my friends about this guy in a hat and beard name Chef Tom and he reminds me of Emeral 👍🏾🙏🏾
The wife and I just discussed what we're doing for dinner tonight and came across this. Well, there's about to be a last minute change for dinner plans. lol
Hey Chef Tom can you do a video on knife sharpening? I have a wusthof knife and the wusthof sharpener and cannot seem to get my knife back to how sharp it was when I got it.
I tried making this tonight and it was delicious, but my soup wasn’t nice and creamy like yours, any tips to get it creamy? My wife says i need to make a rue to melt the cheese in?
I love my pellet grill, but the char on that flank really hit hard on this one for some reason and made me miss the charcoal egg. Also, I might have been tempted to dump the whole steak in there and just live with the consequences of it turning into a stew or chili, but I like to live dangerously.
