This is the beauty of worldwide self help, DIY’s, Cooking, Baking and practically Everything our minds can keep sharing!!! Imagine all those beautiful people who’ve learned your delicioso recipe!!🙏👏👏👏im just now seeing it because I’ve decided to make carnitas in my truck…I’m an over the road truck driver. 4 years ago I see this was posted…wow!! Congratulations!!
I have made carnitas several times using this recipe and my family loves them. Thank you for such an easy and delicious recipe. I literally set it and forget it till my timer goes off. 😊
I made your recipe, it's delicious! Thank you for the tip of not letting the meat fall apart in the slow cooker. it was still just as good reheated. My family enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your recipes, I also make your tacos de canasta, and my kids love your frozen dinner rolls.
Excellent Carnitas! Best I've ever had! My husband loves it-- he says,"So good and very authentic!" It reminds us of the Carnicerias in Calif. Thanks so much from two native Californians who live in the Midwest! ❤
@@redwarblerz I let it go all day (maybe 8-9 hours) on low. Put it in the fridge after it cooled, then used for pulled pork burritos the following day along with black beans, tortillas, etc. Hope this helps! :)
Gosh, I've been making these in the crockpot for 30 years but never knew to remove the meat and fry...I love the crispiness of the meat so thank you for this suggestion!!!
I watched this a while back, but I just bought a slow cooker today, so I had to come back and watch it again, lol. I'm going to use this recipe and make some tortas with it.
I make this all the time. I put a jar of green Herdez salsa in it along with the orange, garlic, bay leaf and onion. I finish it in the oven to get the edges dry. I take the liquid and reduce it down by 1/2 and adjust it for salt and spices. My wife is from the Philippines so we usually eat it with white rice.
I have learned so much from your channel!! I wish I would have found it sooner, but to catch up I'm binge watching all your older videos!! Fingers crossed for a ceviche recipe 🤞
I like that you don't gatekeep and acknowledge there are different ways that are all good. Personally I like to use the slow cooker, then broil in the oven with the fat from the cooker.
I just enjoy watching and listening to you so much. Everything I have tried that you have shown us has been so good. Yes, I have your cookbook too. Ordered it before the release date and got it 2 days later. I hope you enjoy making the videos as much as your viewers enjoy watching.
Yes! And as the ad's play I'm looking at the ingredients to se what I need because I know im gonna have to make it lol. We have at least 2 of Mamá's recipes a week
This was my fathers specialty. He used to work at a restaurant. He would also include whole milk. He said that would help tenderize the pork. And the orange juice was to caramelize it. It would come out stickily deliciious.
Hey mama', this looks so delicious. I have a way, by lightly covering the roast in mustard, yes ol' fashion yellow mustard, then seasoning & baking or putting in my smoker. You'll never taste the mustard, but I believe it seasons & breaks down the pork. Its truly wonderful! Just a suggestion!
I made this. It's lazy people approved. And it's bomb. I add the mixed spices that come in the little plastic bag which you find in the Mexican spices section at the grocery store.
I'm making this now. I realized after adding regular coke that the ingredient is actually "Mexican coke". Was nervous but this made me feel better. We'll see in a few hours.
I make mine a similar way but confit the pork in lard. I add a stick of cinnamon, fresh bay leaves, a fresh whole jalapeño, milk, Mexican cola and oranges. Not traditional but delicious! That salsa looks amazing!
You are awesome, thanks for all the work you do with your channel. I have a whole playlist full of stuff I want to make from your channel and it helps me remember my abuela
