Carnival Cruise Dinner Food Tour & Review @ Main Dining Room (4K) 

You two are doing the cruise community such a SERVICE! I seriously love your cruise food reviews. For me, food is one of the most important things on a cruise. If the cruise line doesn't get it right, the cruise just isn't the same. I'm so glad to see you guys enjoying Carnival's food. I've never sailed with Carnival, and want to give it a try. I was on a 7-day Princess cruise last year, and the food was *so* sub-par. Lobster night was such an epic failure, as the lobster tails were over-cooked, extremely rubbery, and so salty none of us could finish even one tail. Seriously, even the specialty restaurants were super off kilter that week. Anyway, I guess cruising can be hit or miss. My personal favorite of all the cruise lines so far is RCL. Among other things, they got the food exactly right. Thanks to your video, I will be booking with Carnival soon.

I love this food review video. Great job! We have been on over 30 carnival cruises and 9 more booked. Your reviews are spot on with what I think too. But, i did see a few dishes that i have never tried and I will in the future. Baked Alaska is my absolute favorite. Well, besides the creme brulee. But, I have started trying some of the low or no sugar options and so far really good.

When I first started cruising, all I knew was Carnival Cruise Lines everything was great the food the room everything. That was 20 years ago, after seeing these videos of the meals on Carnival they have not changed much in 20 years. I enjoyed them as a virgin cruiser, but know that I have a few cruses under my belt and have sailed on different cruise lines Carnival is my last choice to sail on unless I am taking my grandkids on vacation.

Great video as usual. Our very first cruise was on Carnival Spirit. We enjoyed it so much we have done 14 more.

The best thing I had out of the 7 days on the Vista at dinner was the Filet Mignon. The tenderest steak and the best flavor ever! Superb! Beat any Steak House around. Crab Cakes were very good also.

great video thank you very much and next year i will be on the sunrise for my first cruise. only thing (as a chef myself) i noticed is the fried oysters were not cleaned well...when she cut into it that was well the crap line hanging...otherwise wonderful on carnival.

The Indian dishes are so yummy. Sailed one time with a vegetarian and she got everyone to try it one night. Now I always order for dinner

Would love your opinion, RC food or Carnival which one is better? Or are they comparable at all? I have not cruised yet and am still trying to pick between the two lines for my first cruise. I have heard that Carnival has more “free” food options at better quality than RC. Again just trying to collect info. I say I just need to go on both to see!

Loved the tiramisu, didn't have the cream sauce and was surprised how much I liked it since I dont like coffee or coffee flavor things normally but if the Espresso was in the sauce maybe that why I liked it so much. But definitely going back for more.

i've seen your royal caribbean cruise reviews, and we have been on royal cruises, would you say the food at Carnival is better or Royal?

I'm surprised they haven't added 'table cloth' as an extra-fee service...it would probably be too hard for them to keep up with who ordered the 'table cloth package' and having it ready for them when they show up...

Were these the standard portions for these dishes or did they give you smaller ones because you ordered a variety? The portions seemed small compared to the cruise i was on (a long time ago).

Most tilapia fish is raised in tanks next to chicken farms. They scrape up the chicken crap, and throw it into the tanks, and that's what the fish eat 😮

Another great video. On my Carnival cruise, the MDR food was very good and the service that we received from the three waiters were second only to Celebrity. I thought the food in the MDR was better than Royal Caribbean and the service more professional. I like the creativity of the menu as well as the almost flawless execution of the individual dishes. And unlike a few other cruise lines, the menus were accurate. Carnival would NOT be my first choice mostly due to entertainment and atmosphere. However, if they offer another Los Angeles to Singapore repo cruise ... The odd thing about the cruise was that we never ate at the buffet and have no idea what it was like. (g)

After watching your review of Statendam and Cunard,it is so obvious they way above Carnival food wise, and other ways. Seeing each dish gives the ability to do comparisons Thank you again for your super reviews!

Braised oxen toung was apparently replaced because the menu I was given link to has rare find on night 4 as BBQ pulled wild boar. Instead. I'm a little disappointed because I wanted to try it. But oh well so many other new things to try

How do you order multiple main dishes? Eat one, then order another? Or do you order 2-3 all at once?

You guys rock! I have never been on a carnival cruise and I was curious what the main dining would be like. Everyone says Carnival had the worst food but this looked very comparable to RCL. I’m excited to try it when I sail on the Celebration in a few weeks!

The braised brisket was really good, but what they call brisket we call Pot Roast, because that's exactly what it tasted like. Wasn't bad in any way but definitely pot roast not brisket

I had alligator in florida, it was like chewing a rubberband...lol

I'm not sure how she managed to eat all of that, but really enjoy her enthusiasm and honest review

I never tried the Featured Indian Vegetarian but I will on my 25th Carnival cruise next month after seeing your video. Also, grab a bottle of low sodium soy sauce (green bottle) from Lido Deck for day 4. I love the Grilled Tofu Steak. I would've also ordered the Grilled Barramundi and mix the two entrees together and splash some of the low sodium soy sauce.

I never tasted a melting chocolate cake before.. But i seriously want to :p

That strip at @2:29 made me laugh. They stuck a whole (unpeeled) clove of burnt garlic on top of an untrimmed strip. That cut needed a quick trimming before it was put on the grill, would have taken 15 seconds. Overall the food looks good but things like that are where you can see some corner-cutting.

I'm getting the drift that the deserts are excellent but the only let down apart from the tenderloin is that the steaks are not succulent

Don't you have to pay extra for internet on the ship? How do you use the app without internet?

May I ask, is getting 2nd 3rd the lobster free of charge or you have pay extra?

I’m over 70 years old and have been eating tongue since I was 5 Trust me there is no fat on tongue The cruise line is misleading that cut off meat It’s not the first time I’ve heard of cruise lines doing that 😮

Royal Caribbean has more generous portions, and much more attractive food presentations. And the lack of table cloths definitely downgrades the experience. What is next? Paper napkins and plastic forks?
