Welcome to Day 3 on board the Carnival Elation that set sail out of Jacksonville, Florida on a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas with port stops in Nassau and Princess Cays (Carnival and Princess Cruise lines private beach).
Day 3 we stopped in Nassau for about 8 hours and I went on a "Sea and See" excursion and then did some shopping in Nassau. After I got back on board, I did my usual people watching and watched for "pier runners". Then I finished the night at the Mega Deck Party. Come along for the trip and hopefully it will give you an idea of what to expect if you have never been on a cruise before.

You could hang with us. We like to just people watch and drink margaritas. Last cruise my two friends and I hung out with another couple and their friend. The piano bar was a hit with us.

Thanks for the nice shot of the back of the boat. Our room is at the back of the boat, deck 5. I believe the window right above the “E” in Elation is the window we will be looking out of. 10 days and counting down now and your videos couldn’t have been posted at a better time for me. 🎉

I have a trip booked for June '24 for this same cruise. I was told that you do not need a passport, id only for closed loop cruises. Did you see this at all?

You do not need a passport, but I do believe you need a birth certificate for when you get off the boat and go through customs. I know with a passport, it was a pretty quick process because they do the facial scan.

I feel your pain. It took me 50yrs for me to drink whiskey again after getting sick on it when I was 15yrs old. It looks like they finished the Nassau (Nas-Saw) port renovation. Do you get assaulted by vendors when you go to leave the port?

Of course you get assaulted as soon as you step outside the fence. Taxi's, excursions, and Cuban cigars galore. I do know how to say Nassau (Nas-Saw) now, unfortunately I went on a cruise the week after this one so I still say it wrong for my next group of videos, hahaha.
