RIP Carnival Fantasy 1990-2020

Fantasy was my first EVER cruise experience in 2004. It's changed a lot over the years but I cannot believe it's going to be ripped up. :( Thanks for capturing a really nice video of it. :) It really brought me back seeing the interior features again. It's crazy how the time just disappears.

I have been on both Fantasy and Ecstacy. The Fantasy class ships are amazing. I like the lifeboats on the top deck design, it makes the ship look more unique. It's a shame she left to be scrapped, she had so much life in her.

My first cruise was on Fantasy many years ago. Fond memories of her. She was a great choice for newbies ❤

RIP Carnival Fantasy. I was onboard the Carnival Fantasy for a Caribbean cruise and it was amazing. It’s sad to see her go.

This was my first cruise back in 2005 when I was 12. I particularly remember the Cats lounge with the giant Tide and Ritz boxes. I also remember they had a blocked off nude deck for adults only!

The Fantasy was the first cruise ship I’ve been on. I met my now boyfriend on it! We met in the Club O2 teens club. We were both 17. Funny enough our dinner was also scheduled at the same time and our tables were right next to each other. :) it’ll be a sad day when that ship gets decommissioned as it holds a special place for me.

I love the 80s decor. I think it’s so retro and beautiful!

That was the first ship we ever took a cruise on and it’s great for newbies or those who want something smaller with a lot less people. 👍💕

We love the Fantasy...... great little ship for a 5 day get away. We have sailed her 2 summers in a row and 2 weeks we'll be on board again. For the price it's a steal of a vacation.

I went on the old clunker December last year... It didnt have all the bells and whistles but we had a good time. It's a good getaway ship since the drive is only 3.5 hours away from my home.

Carnival Fantasy was our very first cruise and that’s when we caught the cruise bug! It will always have a special place in our cruising catalog ❤️🚢 Thank you for a trip down memory lane! 😊😊

I LOVE the fantasy we just went on the carnival dream and we saw it at Cozumel! It was on July 20 wonder if you were one the fantasy at the time we were ai cozumel! My favorite part is the dining rooms! Also the carnival fantasy water slides are the same color as the dream because it got put on it the same time the carnival dream was getting built! As . Always great video! And it is my favorite ship in carnival!

I got off of this boat a week ago! I’ll never forget it!

The Fantasy was my second cruise back in 2008. I absolutely loved sailing on her! She definitely looks different today, a good different. ☺

Our first cruise was on the Fantasy for our 25th wedding anniversary in 2004. That cruise was like a 4-day thrill ride. We will be cruising on her again, in November of this year for 2/ 5-day B2B cruises, to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. We do like the smaller ships, but the Dream Class ships are our favorite. We love Carnival!

I'm 28 now but when I was 14 my family cruised on this from Florida to the Bahamas and it was a TON of fun. Really cool to see Fantasy is still going strong.

Thanks for this video, I am sailing out of Mobile for the first time in a week. I must say that I love Carnival, I have never once had a negative experience. I normally sail out of Port Canaveral or Tampa, but decided this time to try Mobile just to do something different. For an older ship the Fantasy still seems in great shape so I am really looking forward to this trip. Can't wait to see if you post a video of the Mardi Gra when it sets sail, I am booked on it in Dec. My first sailing on a brand new ship since I sailed on the Dream when it was brand new. I must add though that the older ships do not bother me, I think they do a great job of keeping them up considering the number of people that are on them all the time.

My husband grabbed a $100 stack from the claw machine last year. We used it for the deposit for our next cruise.

Watching in September 2021! Just off Carnival Magic. I am planning on perhaps booking the Ecstasy since it’s now the oldest ship, just to compare. I watched that video as well, your videos are very clear and thorough thank you!

Just before watching this video, I watched the Fantasy beach herself in Turkey 😥. I sailed on her twice, as well as her sister ships the Ecstasy and Paradise, and I'm very sad to see this class of ship be dumped by Carnival...bigger is NOT always better. PLEASE keep some of the smaller ships. WE. WILL. SAIL. AGAIN.

I’ve been on 4 cruises, my first one was this and the other three was on the carnival valor, man it’s going to be really sad when they scrap the valor I have so many great memories and friends I’ve made on those ships.

I went on this ship way back in June 2000 LOL . I was 15 years old. Me and my brother spent the entire time on the ship exploring. Even going to places we were not supposed to be going :-).

I went on the ship and the tour looks the exact same as I remember I went on the water slides like 1500 times!!

We usually sail on the Pride (and have two booked on her too :) ) but wanted to know more about her and found your video. Looking forward to her. We don't mind that she's older, we have done 5 on the Pride which is about as old, and love her.

Yes..won one time on that money packet claw machine. Tricky, cellophane wrapped money trying to be grabbed by silicone covered claws. I managed to lift one next to the drop box. Got it high enough and the money naturally fell off, but hit the edge and fell in! Woooo...pure luck!

I was on the October 5th to 10th 2019 cruise. I also went on this boat on July 15th 2019. I will be back on Fantasy on January 11th 2020. Hope to see you there.

I cruised on the Fascination ealier this year and agree with your statement that I would not take that class of ship on a 7 day or longer cruise but for the itinerary of islands hoping like it does with just the one sea day it served a good purpose. One thing I did not like though was there was no Dive Inn theater scene to watch movies.

having just debarked the carnival magic, it makes me remember my very first cruise, which was the fantasy. 2014 was the year, and she was just renovated if i remember correctly. sad to see the ship i got to call my first cruise gone forever

She was very old but very personable. I enjoyed both cruises on her.

I absolutely love the Fantasy. Been on the newest like the Vista...and a few like the Miracle or Legend. The Fantasy is small yeah, but man, this is one of my favorite ships. The pool deck is soooo much better than most ships.

Of the Fantasy Class I've been on the Fascination twice, the Sensation, and the Paradise. I'll be on the Fantasy Dec 9th. Conquest Class is my favorite. But I love the Fantasy class. So easy to get around and just relax. Age is irrelevant, but the reason I'm going on the Fantasy is because I'm afraid they will retire it in the next few next years. I guess you could say I booked it for sentimental reasons. :-) Thanks for the great video. She looks like a grand old gal. Looking forward to this trip.

Thanks Im going on a cruise with my family and was pretty concerned about stuff to do,ive never been on a cruise plus they are all much older than me but it seems fun

My wife and I first cruise to Bahamas from Florida in 1995 on our honeymoon. We thought that boat was so big and nice. We saw her sister the Ecstasy In Cozumel last year and it looked so tiny compared to the others. Hate to see her go but time stops for no one. Wish they could use the ships in high rent cities like San Francisco to help others.

I really like it ! She is beautiful, thinking about flying to Alabama and crusing with her, I dont know yet but I will love too! ❤❤❤❤

Went on Fantansy with 2nd husband again with 2nd husband and again with female coworker always enjoy. We travel a lot and as far as I'm concerned 1 week or less Carnival is great fun for me! If you want a ship with rock climbing, zip lining I'd say go stay in Costa Rica much better experience and great food and prices.

I am going on a 10! NIGHT Panama Canal cruise in 2020 that will be interesting with 3 days at sea in a row but great video!

I was just there on the 15th though the 18th. On the days they had to cut it short because of Barry! I thought it was nice because it was small and easier to get to everything!

Thank You for the video, now I want to go on Fantasy again...like today. For a 1st time cruise this is a good choice, service and staff were excellent. I don't know what ship to go on next cause I really don't want to pay for airfare it's so expensive rather drive.

Nice ship , I took a four day cruise back in it's early days when it was new , it's a shame it's been scrapped .

I cruised the very first sailing full of travel agents of that ship in 1990.

I wish Mobile could accommodate another ship. We and other Atlantans have taken this ship and thus seen the shows. But if Mobile had a 2nd ship, we'd get back over there and cruise on it too.
