Pretty picky. We got off the Jubilee last week and was by far our best Carnival cruise. Only complaint was the elevator.

As I said, it was hard to come up with 5 "worst" things! I did love the ship, but man those bathrooms! The only issue we had with the elevators is how fast the doors shut after arriving on the floor; you practically had to run to make it!

You are welcome! I want people to know what they are getting into. Except for the bathroom and theater, almost everywhere else has plenty of comfortable seating!

The whole boat and room was so hot I was soaked so it felt like I got to use the pools that I couldn’t because they were too full with kids :) Everyone was so miserable on the ship that my lack of appetite made the bland food and lines a nonissue:)

I've been on the Mardi Gras and the Jubilee, and I am just not a fan of the Excel class ships, and mostly for the same reasons as you. Kendal Fire was fantastic though, and made it mostly worth it.

I always say that there’s no such thing as a bad cruise, but I do like to be realistic so others know what to expect.

All of consumers are on par. And the spa is tucked away at mid level... it was such a perk on the Magic to be on floor 12 and have my cabin, spa and spa polls all grouped together.

We have done spa rooms on the Dream before and loved it except for being directly under the gym! I won't make that mistake again!

Have you tried out Royal Caribbean cruises? I hear they are less of a wild party vibe. Might be more your cup of tea?

I’m small so the bathrooms are perfect for me but the serenity deck sounds like it would piss me off .

No disrespect but it sounds like you go on cruises and don’t want other people around. I think the larger, more active ships aren’t up that alley. I know the dream was lovely and peaceful. Not a lot of people. But a ship with 6,000 people….its going to be noisy and active.

I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion, but you would be wrong. I enjoy meeting new people and having great conversations. The Dream is my favorite Carnival ship, although I love all the options on the Jubilee (as I said in the video), and it didn’t feel crowded at all. I just think the Serenity Area was designed as a quiet retreat, and that wasn’t the case around the pool area.

@@cruisingfromtheozarks yea I definitely think carnival should rename that area lol especially because there's a bar! Call it adults retreat or something because people come to carnival to partayy as it is

I definitely think they need a quiet retreat. the Lido is a party spot already. Except for close to the bar and pool, people are usually reading, napping, etc. in the Serenity Area, and I think it is definitely important to have a space like that on a line like Carnival that draws in partiers. I just think they need a separate adult partying area. Especially on the XL-class ships that have the space for something like that!

We didn't spring for that, but from a distance it didn't seem too busy. I will say we could see everyone in the private pool from below in the serenity area. People would forget that the glass front wasn't very private!
